Your guide to the third-round matchups of The Ultimate Writer
The Scrap announced its new initiative: The Ultimate Writer.
TUW is a competition for The Scrap’s Content Writers and features 14 of the best MMA and pro wrestling writers around the world in a competition of article views. The first round of the inaugural season began May 1st and the winners will be determined monthly when highest article views go head-to-head to crown The Ultimate Writer.
The third-round matchups feature pivotal head-to-head wars in the semi-finals. Below is your guide to everything you need to know before the third round of TUW ends.
UNDERRATED MATCHUP
Austin Luff vs Connor Rogowsky is a matchup to keep a close eye on. With such a star-studded main event, many may sleep on this matchup. Both men produce a similar amount of content now and usually get a similar amount of views, so this will most likely be a close win for either writer when it is all said and done. Can Rags come out on top after being ranked #4? Or will Austin Luff come out on top and take one 1/2 of the season’s coaches out of the competition?
MATCHUP OF THE NIGHT
Joel Torres vs Jordan Ellis is going to be insane. Joel is a coach for this season, so high expectations follow the #1 ranked writer who consistently produces articles with 1,000+ views each month. Ellis is coming off the best TUW run we have seen this season, taking out every higher ranked opponent. Touted as the Darkhorse of the Tournament, Ellis is in the lead, and could pull off ANOTHER upset.
UNDERDOG TO WATCH
Jordan Ellis has everything it takes to win this competition. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE. Representing UK, Ellis has found his avenue and following in order to turn things around just in time this season. He’s taken out every single writer put in front of him, pulling off upset after upset. Is he going to win it all? It looks very likely.
