WWE Raw: Live Results from January 21, 2019

Tonight’s episode saw a tribute video package of Martin Luther King Jr kick off the show.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman make their way to the ring. Heyman says last week Finn Balor pinned John Cena. Heyman and Lesnar smirk, and throw shots at Cena, by saying Lesnar is the greatest wrestler and Cena is number 2. Heyman then begins mocking Balor and the WWE Universe for believing in Finn, saying his voice matters. Heyman says his voice martyrs, and this Sunday, Lesnar will turn Finn Balor into a martyr.
Vince McMahon interrupts, makes his way into the ring. Says people will only believe in Lesnar vs Balor, if they believe in David and Goliath. McMahon says David has reincarnated into Finn Balor, while taking a jab at the crowd. Strowman interrupts McMahon mid-story. Lesnar gets prepared to fight, then laughs are Braun who slowly makes his way inside the ring. McMahon ask what Braun is doing out there. Strowman says last Monday was the worst night of his life, but the luckiest night for Lesnar. Says he will wait for Lesnar and will take the title if he is still holding it after The Royal Rumble. Balor then comes out.
Balor says that it’s the same ol’ Monday night Raw: Braun doing “Braun things,” Balor beating three competitors including John Cena. He says he earned his opportunity to face Lesnar, he believe and Balor Club believes although Mr. McMahon doesn’t. Strowman says he knows he can beat Lesnar, and that Finn better do it. Finn says to mind his business cause he will do what Strowman can’t.
Finn Balor vs Braun Strowman ends in a no-contest.
Balor was on the brink of defeating The Monster among men. Balor was building up momentum, beating both Strowman and Lesnar until Lesnar ruined everything, delivering a F-5 to Balor.
Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush make their way out. Rush says Lashley is better than Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Says they will not being doing open challenges, they came out to celebrate. He has Lashley pose on a podium while he puts the strap around his waist. Apollo Crews interrupts.
Crews says no one paid their money to see Lashley pose, they came to see him compete. Crews challenges Lashley to a non-title match. Rush says if Crews can defeat Lashley in a pose-off, then they’ll consider the matchup. Rush says Crews doesn’t know how to be a champion. The two proceed in a pose-off.
Lashley attacks Crews during the last pose Crews throws Lashley out. Rush tries to attack but Crews catches him mid-air and throws him out the ring. We go to commercials.

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring after the match. The announcers hype a Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre is next. As Lashley leaves, they two stare at each other before the commercial break.
Back from the break and Rollins is talking about Dr. King and a quote that stuck with him. Talks about no longer having The Shield beside him. Says he needs to control what he does have, and that’s wrestling. He says he is going to win the Royal Rumble match this weekend. McIntyre interrupts and says Rollins is lying to himself and the WWE Universe. Says he will not win the Royal Rumble match because of his style of wrestling. McIntyre says he’s going to throw Rollins over the top rope.
Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre.
Backstage The Revival is asking Mr. McMahon for another title shot and for a special referee. Curt Hawkins also shows up and Mr. McMahon says he should go into a new business for losing too much. McMahon says Hawkins would be the perfect referee for The Revival’s rematch.
Back from commercial, Ambrose recites a Dr. King quote. Says it’s an injustice that he is no longer the Intercontinental Championship He vows to go after Lashley and Rollins in the Royal Rumble, eliminating them. Ambrose says he owns the Road to WrestleMania.
Lucha House Party def. Jinder Mahal & The Singh Brothers.
EC3 hype video is showed. Then backstage, he is looking at himself in the mirror. Dana Brooke starts asking him about health tips and Elias makes his way to the stage. We go to commercial.
Elias says he’s going to win the Rumble. Baron Corbin interrupts and tells the WWE Universe to shut up. Corbin says that Elias almost had him killed for ratting him out to Braun last week. Elias said Corbin isn’t the general manager anymore so he’s going to sing a song. Makes production cut off Corbin’s microphone. Elias sings his song about Baron Corbin, dissing him.

The Royal Rumble edition of A Moment of Bliss is next.
Alexa Bliss talks about the women’s Royal Rumble and the stakes. She presents a graphic of the 2019 participants. She then welcomes her guest, Nia Jax. Bliss says she is one of the favorites to win. Bliss asks Jax who she would pick if she won the Royal Rumble. Ember Moon interrupts. Bliss says she did not invite Moon on her talk show. Moon says she is tired of sitting in the locker room waiting for an invitation that wasn’t going to come. Says she is going to win Royal Rumble. Alicia Fox then makes her way out and says she is the captain of the division. She too claims she will win the Rumble. Then comes Mickie James. Says she has stolen the show at WrestleMania before and will do it again. All the women fight over the microphone, then the Riott Squad comes out. Bliss stands on a stool and makes everyone quite down, says the girls are ruining her reputation as a talkshow host. Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, and Tamina also show up in the mix of women. Jax starts a brawl with all the women.
Alexa is left alone and says the women in the Rumble are passionate. She says this is a Moment of Bliss the crowd will never forget. Alexa Bliss announces that she is competing in this year’s Royal Rumble match. Lacey Evan then interrupts and begins dissing all the women, including Bliss. She says she will win the Royal Rumble and then walks off.
Heavy Machinery makes their WWE Raw debut next.
Titus O’Neil announces his entrance in this year’s Royal Rumble.

Raw Tag Team Championship: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable (C) def. The Revival w/ Special Guest Referee Curt Hawkins.
Dawson and Wilder attack Hawkins. Zack Ryder comes to save Hawkins.
We see Ronda Rousey back stage. She’s interviewed and asked about Sasha Banks. Rousey says she should be focused on the tag match but she’s come to the conclusion that she doesn’t owe Sasha a damn thing. She doesn’t understand why Banks is acting the way she is. Rousey seems extremely angry where she’s struggling to find her words, ultimately says she is the HBIC and the Boss’s boss.
The Boss N’ Hug Connection def. Ronda Rousey & Natalya.
Before the match, Sasha Banks gets on the mic and begins telling Ronda how hard she has worked to be as great as she is. Says Ronda should stop telling the world she is a worthy competitor, because they already know. She earned her shot, says she’s going to make Rousey tap out at The Royal Rumble.
At the end of the match, Banks laughs in Rousey’s face and the two get separated.
