WWE NXT Deadline 2024: Start Time & Predictions

Read Time:3 Minute, 34 Second

Outside of Stand & Deliver, NXT Deadline has become a flagship PLE for the developmental brand in recent years. A company rarely develops a unique match stipulation in the modern era. But, NXT has done that with the Iron Survivor. Both Iron Survivor matches are star-studded, as always. Especially with two titles also on the line.

NXT Deadline airs this Sunday, December 7th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the United States, fans can stream the event live on Peacock, while international viewers watch on the WWE Network. The main card starts at 7:00pm ET / 5:00pm MT.

Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. No Quarter Catch Crew (NXT Tag Team Championship)

Frazier and Axiom have undoubtedly been the backbone of the NXT division for the last several months. Their matches are always exciting and they have racked up a solid list of defenses. I feel NQCC takes the win here. Frazer will have to compete twice on this show, which I believe will cost him. No Quarter Catch Crew has been a consistently entertaining act on NXT TV, and I feel it’s time they win some gold to solidify them.

Lola Vice vs. Jaida Parker (NXT Underground Match)

I believe this has the potential to be the match of the night. Lola Vice and Jaida Parker have done an incredible job of developing a feud not centered around titles. The two had an exceptional match at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia recently, where Jaida picked up the win. With this being an underground match it lends itself to Lola’s MMA background, and I think she gets the win here. That would put them at one win a piece and I would love to see a rubber match down the road.

Giulia vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Zaria vs. Sol Ruca vs. Wren Sinclair (Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge)

The star power of this match is absolutely outrageous, with international stars like Giulia, Vaquer, and Zaria. With matches like this, it is best to use the process of elimination. It is pretty easy to say Wren Sinclair does not get the win here, but it is a nice surprise to see her in the match. You can never count out Sol Ruca. However, I do not feel like it is quite her time to be inserted in the main event scene (yet). I do not believe Giulia will get another shot so soon after losing to Roxanne. This leaves us with ZARIA, and Stephanie Vaquer. With all this being said, I believe Vaquer will be your Iron Survivor. ZARIA has star potential to be sure but she just got here. Vaquer has already endeared herself to the NXT faithful. She will almost definitely have them behind her in the later stages.

Wes Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Eddy Thorpe (Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge)

I feel as though this Iron Survivor match is the easier to predict of the two. We can eliminate Eddy Thorpe and Je’Von Evans. Je’Von is one of the brand’s brightest up-and-comers. But, it is too early for him to sniff the main event scene. I do not see Frazer winning as he still has business with Axiom, assuming they lose the titles. Ethan Page was just champion. So, I believe this will be the match that catapults Wes Lee to the world championship scene. Wes has done everything there is to do in NXT, except be a world champion. There is a lot of money in a potential Wes vs. Trick feud.

Trick Williams vs. Ridge Holland (NXT Championship)

There is no doubt that Shawn Michaels has made Ridge Holland a legitimate, main-event-caliber heel in recent months. His match with Andre Chase popped a rating, and the fans were genuinely invested. NXT has also given him some marquee wins as of late, including the current NXT Champion back in Philadelphia. However, Trick Williams should take the win here. He just recently regained the NXT Championship and ending that reign this soon would not make sense. Trick will win this match and go on to feud with the Iron Survivor. Unless, he is being called up to the main roster imminently.
