The Matches on Episode 11
Zena Sterling & Tatyanna Dumas vs. Dani Sekelsky & Sirena Linton
Zena Sterling and Dani Sekelsky start things off, with Zena immediately taking control and showcasing her unique offense and strength. Dani eventually manages to escape and takes control, tagging in Sirena. Sirena is quickly dominated by Zena, who tags in Tatyanna for a double team. Tatyanna and Sirena have a brief exchange until Dani is tagged back in and starts to gain control of the match. A few more tags follow, allowing everyone to have their moment to shine. Sirena especially stood out with her flips and charisma, showing off something new this season.
Tatyanna eventually gets the hot tag, bringing in Zena, who is fired up and takes everyone out. She pins Sirena after landing a tilt-a-whirl slam, which has improved since her original attempt weeks ago. After the match, AJ praised Zena for truly living up to her moniker. While AJ felt Sirena wasn’t as “devilish” as expected, she still stood out, unlike Dani and Tatyanna.
BJ Ray & Drake Morreaux vs. Jasper Troy & Anthony Luke
BJ Ray and Anthony Luke start off the match, with Anthony taking control early and showing off a bit. However, BJ quickly gets up and starts talking trash, shifting the momentum of the match. BJ tags in Drake, and they double-team Anthony. Drake showcases some of his swag until Anthony turns things around and tags in Jasper. Jasper starts putting a beating on Drake, but Drake eventually turns the tide and tags BJ back in. Drake catches BJ and uses him as a weapon against the other guys.
However, Jasper tags in Anthony, and the boys begin to show off some teamwork of their own. They tag in and out, taking turns beating up BJ. Eventually, BJ gets the hot tag, and Drake starts his Bayou Boogie, dishing out a beatdown on Luke. He pins Anthony, but only gets a two-count. BJ comes in to help Drake take out Jasper, and Drake ends up chokeslamming Anthony for the win.
After the match, Bubba said it was the most entertaining match they’ve seen all season, praising the guys for working very well together. The rest of the Legends agreed, giving additional feedback to BJ and Anthony.
Penina Tuilaepa & Leigh Laurel vs. Bayley Humphrey & Tyra Mae Steele
Tyra Mae Steele and Leigh Laurel kick off the match, with Leigh showcasing a more ruthless side of herself. However, TMS turns things around after being outwrestled for a bit. She eventually tags in Bayley, who doesn’t get much offense in as Leigh uses her speed to evade and tags in Penina. They have a great lock-up, both showcasing their power. Bayley is tested for the first time as Penina is able to match her strength a bit. But it doesn’t take long for Bayley to slam Penina down. Penina tries to retaliate but is unable to pick Bayley up. The two exchange a beating until Leigh tags back in. Bayley locks Leigh in a bearhug, with Bubba commenting that they executed it better than the men did.
Leigh eventually builds momentum and escapes, landing elbows in the ground-and-pound on Bayley. Bayley regains control, tags in TMS, who starts throwing body punches before suplexing Leigh, who lands awkwardly. Leigh manages to tag in Penina, who starts throwing some right hands. Despite being outnumbered, Penina hits a Samoan drop on TMS while Leigh holds Bayley at bay, preventing her from breaking up the tag.
After the match, Undertaker and Booker T exchanged shots at each other while giving feedback to their Future Greats. It was a great match overall.
Elijah Holyfield & Shiloh Hill vs. Troy Yearwood & Chris Island
Elijah Holyfield and Chris Island start off the match, each having moments of overpowering the other. Chris tags in Troy Yearwood, who takes control. Elijah lands a few body shots before tagging in Shiloh Hill, who finds himself in the same predicament as Elijah. Troy then tags in Chris, who takes control again until Shiloh turns things around. Shiloh tags in Elijah, who lands more body shots. The teams continue to tag in and out, using double-team moves to their advantage.
The rest of the match was back and forth with several more tags, but the Legends felt that no one truly showcased or lived up to their moniker.
