WWE announced on Wednesday the news that WWE legend and father of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Rocky Johnson has passed away.

“The Soulman” debuted in 1966 wrestling for the National Wrestling Alliance. Johnson would begin his legendary WWE career in 1983.

He would go on to have several memorable feuds with wrestlers like Greg Valentine. However, he is arguably best known for his team with Tony Atlas.

Johnson and Atlas would make history together, becoming the first African American world tag team champions.

Johnson retired from in-ring action in 1991, however, his legacy would live on. Johnson had a hand in training his son, one of the most captivating wrestlers of all time, The Rock. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. Rocky Johnson was 75-years old.

We at The Scrap wish our condolences to all his friends and family.
