Card Preview & Predictions for Night 1 of WrestleMania 41
Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 is set to explode out of Allegiant Stadium with unforgettable moments, high-stakes matchups, and long-simmering rivalries reaching their boiling point. From the triple threat main event to shocking betrayals and championship gold on the line, Night 1 is poised to make a powerful statement. WrestleMania is back—bigger, bolder, and more electrifying than ever—and Night 1 is ready to set the tone for a historic weekend.

World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
On paper, this is a battle of dominance versus destiny. Jey Uso cemented his place at the top by YEET-ing his way through 29 other competitors to win the 2025 Royal Rumble. In doing so, he earned the right to challenge any champion, ultimately choosing The Ring General.
For a while, the build to this match felt flat. But then, everything changed. Jimmy Uso, Jey’s older twin brother, came to his aid in a pivotal moment that breathed life into the rivalry. The slap that echoed through arenas worldwide—Jimmy bitch slapping Gunther—set off a chain reaction. The result? A brutal beatdown that left Jimmy bloodied and broken and his brother begging. Suddenly, the stakes became personal, the emotion palpable, and the match? Absolutely must-see.
The story now centers on redemption, family, and legacy. Gunther’s dominance continues to grow, and many fans are eager to see this new chapter of his reign unfold—one where he steamrolls the roster with the same intensity and efficiency he’s shown in the lead-up. But WWE has been carefully framing Jey as the vulnerable underdog, the emotional core of this feud, and arguably one of the most organically beloved superstars in the company today.
There’s also a broader narrative in play. With John Cena potentially defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event on Night 2, it feels unlikely that WWE would deliver heartbreak on both nights. Jey Uso finally winning the big one at WrestleMania could provide the emotional payoff fans are craving. Conversely, another loss might leave his character in limbo.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey: Gunther
- Marcos: Jey Uso

United States Championship: LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
The Megastar LA Knight faces his toughest challenge to date as he defends the United States Championship against the monstrous Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 41. While both men are popular in their own right, momentum is firmly on Fatu’s side. The Samoan powerhouse has the potential to elevate the U.S. Title much like Gunther did with the Intercontinental Championship. And while Knight continues to ride a wave of crowd support, WWE hasn’t quite nailed down how to position him long-term with the gold.
Fatu is expected to dominate much of the match, with Knight’s only shot being a late, dramatic comeback. Add in the tension sparked on the go-home edition of SmackDown, and fans are now tuning in for more than just a clash of styles—there’s bad blood. All signs point to Fatu capturing gold in his WrestleMania debut. With potential challengers like Solo Sikoa and even a returning Rusev looming, a title reign for Jacob Fatu could be exactly what the United States Championship needs.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey, Marcos: Jacob Fatu

Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
For the first time in 19 years, WrestleMania will feature a non-title women’s singles match—and it’s a heated one. Jade Cargill and Naomi will settle their volatile rivalry on The Grandest Stage of Them All, in a bout built on betrayal, revenge, and a desire to make history. The bad blood traces back months ago, when then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill was mysteriously attacked in a parking lot and taken out of action. The identity of her assailant remained unknown—until Elimination Chamber.
In a shocking moment, Cargill made her return at the premium live event and ambushed Naomi before the match could begin, revealing that she had been plotting revenge all along. Naomi later returned to SmackDown and admitted that she had been behind the original parking lot attack—igniting a series of vicious confrontations between the two leading up to WrestleMania. Naomi’s heel run has been a standout, with sharp promos and a gritty edge that’s added depth to the storyline.
But while she’s been the emotional core of the feud, all signs point to this match serving as Jade Cargill’s breakout singles moment on the biggest stage possible. A win here would cap off Jade’s long road to retribution, and establish her as a dominant force in WWE’s women’s division. With tensions at a boiling point and the eyes of the world watching, this historic showdown is poised to be a show-stealer.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey, Marcos: Jade Cargill

WWE World Tag Team Championship Match: The War Raiders (c) vs. The New Day
WrestleMania 41 will play host to a heated tag team clash as The War Raiders defend the WWE World Tag Team Championship against a meaner, more dangerous version of The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have embraced a ruthless edge, one that mirrors the brute force of the dominant champions. This transformation came after the shocking ejection of Big E from the group—a move that stunned fans but gave The New Day a new identity.
Now, after over two years without tag gold, they’re determined to reclaim their place at the top of the division. But, since dethroning Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh, The War Raiders have imposed their will on the division—successfully defending against the likes of American Made and the Judgment Day duo of Dominik and JD.
The two teams have history, including brutal Viking Rules Matches, but this is different. This is WrestleMania. This is legacy. This could be The New Day’s first title reign without Big E, or it could be a defining statement for The War Raiders. All eyes are on this can’t-miss matchup—especially with the possibility of Big E showing up. Whether to help, hinder, or confront his former brothers remains the wildcard.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey, Marcos: The New Day

Rey Fenix vs. El Grande Americano
In what was originally scheduled to be a deeply personal and culturally charged showdown between Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano, fate had other plans. During the go-home episode of SmackDown, Mysterio suffered a legitimate injury, ruling him out of competition just a day before WrestleMania 41. Stepping in to carry the lucha torch is none other than Rey Fenix, who will now make his highly anticipated WrestleMania debut, just like El Grande Americano.
The match may have changed, but the stakes remain sky-high. Since his “debut” on Monday Night Raw, El Grande Americano has enraged fans and luchadores alike. While his athleticism is undeniable, it’s his blatant disrespect toward lucha libre tradition that has fueled this storyline. It all came to a head when he unmasked Dragon Lee mid-match—an act considered unforgivable in lucha culture. He later used a hidden piece of metal in his mask to knock out both Lee and Mysterio in a Six-Man Tag, securing a tainted win over the LWO.
Now, the fight continues with Rey Fenix stepping up to defend the legacy of lucha libre. One of the most innovative and respected high-flyers in the world, Fenix is no stranger to high-stakes showdowns, and WrestleMania is the perfect stage for him to show the WWE Universe what he’s made of. The match is expected to be a show-stealer, full of jaw-dropping action and unfiltered emotion. But with American Made and the LWO both looming large, chaos feels inevitable.
Should Americano escape with another controversial victory, his rise—and reign of disrespect—could continue unchecked. But if Fenix manages to silence him on wrestling’s biggest night, it could be a defining moment in a new chapter of lucha libre history.
Regardless of outcome, the matchup has captured the world’s attention—uniting fans, sparking outrage, and keeping the legacy of lucha libre alive in the most unexpected of ways.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey: Rey Fenix
- Marcos: El Grande Americano

WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Tiffany Stratton faces her toughest challenge yet in the 14-time world champion Charlotte Flair. Flair made her triumphant return from injury at the Rumble and immediately re-established herself at the top of the food chain. Opting to challenge Stratton for the title at WrestleMania, it seemed like a perfect pairing on paper—two blonde powerhouses, draped in gold and glitter, squaring off for supremacy.
Unfortunately, the build to this WrestleMania showdown has been anything but glamorous.Fans envisioned a feud brimming with arrogance, luxury, and venomous promos. Instead, a miscast babyface Stratton struggled to match Charlotte’s presence in pivotal moments. While the visuals were there, the energy wasn’t. Stratton—still relatively fresh on the main roster—looked more rehearsed than ruthless, and the chemistry just didn’t click.
That all changed when the pair seemed to go off script on the April 4th edition of SmackDown. Tiffany got the better of Charlotte, who wasn’t even allowed to speak—drowned in a sea of boos from the crowd. Stratton went for the jugular, shooting on Charlotte’s failed marriages before storming off and raising the title upside down to top it all off. The match being a banger was never in question, but fans are now far more invested, as things have finally started to get personal.
Charlotte isn’t known to put other women over. While she has in the past, this feud turning personal makes a clean loss unlikely. Flair could very well add another belt to her already stacked resume. But WWE is in desperate need of new stars, and a loss for Tiffany—at this stage—could prove detrimental. And with John Cena’s historic title run taking center stage in the main event of WrestleMania 41, it almost feels tone-deaf to let Charlotte steal the spotlight with another milestone win of her own. In the end, the outcome here is truly unpredictable—and that’s what makes it must-see.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey, Marcos: Charlotte Flair

Main Event: CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins
What began as a bitter rivalry between Seth Rollins and CM Punk has now culminated in a significant triple threat match that includes Roman Reigns. The excitement and intrigue surrounding this matchup have propelled it to the main event of WrestleMania. When The Shield was formed years ago, its original purpose was to protect CM Punk. Ironically, the two former Shield members will now do whatever it takes to inflict pain on Punk at WrestleMania. Many have questioned the merit of a triple threat match with no title implications, but Paul Heyman’s involvement in the feud has provided these competitors with much to fight for.
The conflict among the three men began at the Royal Rumble and has now reached its boiling point at just the right time. Paul Heyman’s apparent allegiance to Roman Reigns in this match has shifted from certain to highly questionable in recent weeks. This uncertainty arose when CM Punk cashed in his speculated favor, resulting in Heyman being in his corner at WrestleMania. Furthermore, during the penultimate episode of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania, Rollins’ decision to spare Heyman from a stomp has added a new layer of unpredictability to the situation.
With the potential for Heyman to align with any of the three competitors, Rollins’ chances of victory have significantly increased. Initially, it appeared likely that either Punk or Reigns would emerge victorious, with Rollins serving as the third wheel. However, the entire dynamic has shifted just days before WrestleMania. Roman Reigns winning and continuing his association with Paul Heyman now seems too obvious at this point. Conversely, Heyman’s newly owed favor to Seth Rollins could potentially serve as a smokescreen, positioning the architect as a favorite. This could very well be CM Punk’s moment to shine, considering it may be his only opportunity to headline WrestleMania. Regardless of the outcome, it is certain that Triple H will provide an unexpected twist.
Quick Pick Predictions:
- Joey: Seth Rollins
- Marcos: CM Punk
