Now that WrestleMania has come to a close, it’s time to talk about who the MVP of the weekend was.

There are several names you could mention as possible candidates, but it’s ultimately a two-horse race between Mike Bailey and Hijo del Vikingo for the title of MVP of WrestleMania 39 weekend…

Hijo del Vikingo

Hijo del Vikingo’s stock has been growing these last few weeks, especially after he had his 5-star rated match against Kenny Omega on Dynamite a couple of weeks ago. Hijo del Vikingo was one of the major names of this WrestleMania weekend, and he didn’t disappoint. He was part of 6 matches, including one of the best matches of the weekend against Komander on Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor.

Hijo del Vikingo’s WrestleMania weekend was a very busy one, facing opponents like Mike Bailey, Komander, Laredo Kid, Gringo Loco, and others. His matches were one of the biggest highlights of the week, and people definitely want to see more of Vikingo on U.S. soil.

Mike Bailey was without a doubt the MVP of last year’s WrestleMania weekend, and this year is no different. Throughout the week, he was part of 10 matches, including a match against Hiroshi Tanahashi of NJPW in the Multiverse United show between IMPACT and NJPW.

“Speedball” also faced interesting opponents like the previously mentioned Hijo del Vikingo, Kota Ibushi and the up-and coming Nick Wayne. Bailey was definitely one of the busiest wrestlers throughout the week, and there’s no doubt that for many, he was once again the MVP of WrestleMania weekend…
