What would the perfect UFC card look like, if there were one?

Read Time:2 Minute, 59 Second

With so many memorable fight cards in the past and so many amazing ones to come, this is something I love to write about: my fantasy card and what would be the perfect UFC card.

There are so many amazing fighters and champions, I don’t think I will nail it because I don’t think the perfect card will ever be made 100 percent, but here is my fantasy card below.

Of course the card will be headlined by the man himself, the Notorious, Conor McGregor taking on featherweight champion, Max Holloway in a rematch at lightweight. McGregor beat Holloway a few years back, but today both fighters have evolved Max has not lost since that fight at 155-pounds. I feel it would be the perfect weight for this fight today. If Max is able to capture the interim belt and beat Khabib for the undisputed strap, this main event would blow the roof off whatever stadium it’s at.

In the co-main event, I’d have Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier at heavyweight, for the heavyweight title. I mean this is one of the greatest, if not the greatest rivalry in MMA history. Jones is up 2-0 on DC, but since their last fight, DC has moved up and knocked out Stipe Miocic to claim his title. Cormier is a different fighter, no weight cut and is very powerful at heavyweight. I would still root for Jones though.

Another fight I would add to this card is Amanda Nunes vs Holly Holm for the bantamweight title. With this fight already in the mix for UFC 239, adding it to a card of this magnitude would be out of this world. Nunes has beaten Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, and Cris Cyborg, three of the best women fighters of all-time. However, she has yet to get a crack at The Preacher’s daughter, Holly Holm.

A few fights I would add to the main card are Cody Garbrandt vs Jon Lineker, a fight the fans have wanted, one with the two hardest punchers in the bantamweight division. Another amazing fight to add to this perfect card would be Yair Rodriguez vs Zabit Magomedsharipov. This is a fight that the fans also have been screaming for, probably the two most creative scrappers and the most dangerous in the featherweight division.

Taking a look at the prelims, I’d definitely have JoJo Calderwood vs Jessica Eye in the mix. They are two of the top contenders at flyweight, who most likely will fight soon, but to add them to a card like this would just make a lot of sense. Another great fight to add at bantamweight, would be Aljamain Sterling vs Rob Font. This is a fight I love, they actually matchup very well and it would be another top guy for Rob Font to try and take out.

This is my perfect UFC card, one with the best champions, the best contenders, and headlined by the biggest star in our sport. See the full lineup below.
