Wednesday Night Wars: AEW Dynamite Week 11 Review
The 11th episode of AEW Dynamite was celebrated in Garland, Texas inside the Curtis Culwell Center. It was another solid episode with an electric crowd that was hot throughout the entire show.
Match of the Night
The show started with a squash match win for Moxley. The second match of the night was BBB vs. QT Marshall and Cody, this match was really fun match and the people started to get behind QT. At the end BBB got the win.
Big Swole on her AEW Dynamite debut defeated Emi Sakura in an intense match. It could’ve been a few minutes shorter, but overall the match was good and helped establish Big Swole as a star.
Omega and Page defeated Spears and Sabian in a solid tag team match, this bout also saw the appearance of Janela with a tied-up Tully Blanchard. Penelope Ford during this match did a lot of great work as a heel manager. At the end of the match, we saw a tease of a future Omega and Page feud.
Luchasaurus and Guevara had a really fun match that also had commentary from Jericho and the silent Hager. After this match, The Inner Circle attacked Luchasaurus, but Jungle boy managed to distract Jericho and cover him for a fake pin, setting their match up for next week.
The match of the night was the main event between The Young Bucks and Proud and Powerful. This Texas street match was really fun and had a lot of creative spots and fun moments. The Young Bucks won the match and they are the #1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championships.
Promos & Segments
This episode of Dynamite was promo and segment heavy. Jericho made a good promo and tried to recruit Moxley to The Inner Circle.
Brandi Rhodes had a segment talking about the women’s division and her faction. At the end of this, we saw the tease of a new member to her faction.
We also saw another great vignette of The Dark Order trying to recruit The Beaver Boys to their group.
Rating
This episode had a lot of good stuff, but Janela’s appearance with Blanchard felt flat for the fans on the arena and watching on TV.
Brandi’s vignette was an improvement from the last from last week, but it needs a lot of work. The tease for the new member of her faction is very interesting.
Next week’s episode looks to be a must watch episode.
