UFC 241 features several underrated fights to watch.

On Saturday, August 17th, the UFC will be making its way to Anaheim, California for UFC 241: Cormier vs Miocic 2.

In the main event of UFC 241, heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will be defending his title against former champion, Stipe Miocic. A rematch in the making since the conclusion of their first fight, back in July of 2018.

Here are the underrated fights to watch on the card:

Sabina Mazo vs Shana Dobson

In this UFC Women’s Flyweight bout, Colombia-native Sabina ‘Colombian Queen’ Mazo will be taking on Texas-native Shana ‘Danger’ Dobson.

Mazo holds a professional record of 6-1, including 2 knockouts and 4 decisions. She recently made her UFC debut against Maryna Moroz, which she lost via unanimous decision. Prior to that, she was on a 6-fight win streak, which included 4 unanimous decisions and 2 knockouts via head kick. Both of which were first-round knockouts.

Her opponent, Dobson, holds a professional record of 3-2, including 1 knockout and 2 decisions. In her first UFC appearance, she scored a second-round TKO win over Ariel Beck at the TUF 26 Finale. In her most recent fight, she made her official UFC debut against Lauren Mueller, which she lost via unanimous decision. Prior to that, she was 3-1 in her first 4 professional fights, with her only loss being to former UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion, Nicco Montano.

Both of these women have started their UFC careers at 0-1. Let’s see what they bring to the table under the bright lights in this underrated fight to watch.

Devonte Smith vs Khama Worthy

In this UFC Lightweight bout, Devonte ‘King Kage’ Smith will be taking on Khama ‘The Deathstar’ Worthy in what will be a short-notice fight.

Smith was originally supposed to fight Clay Collard but Collard was forced to withdraw from the fight, for unknown reasons.

Smith holds a professional record of 10-1, including 9 knockouts and 1 submission. He has one win from DWTNCS, which was a first-round knockout. He is 2-0 in the UFC right now, both of which are first-round knockouts. He’s currently on a 6-fight win streak, including four first-round knockouts, a fourth-round TKO and another first-round submission.

His opponent, UFC debut Khama Worthy, holds a professional record of 14-6. That record includes 8 knockouts, 2 submissions, and 4 decisions. He’s currently riding a 5-fight win streak, which includes two third-round knockouts, a second-round submission, and two unanimous decisions. His most recent fight was on July 27th, where he scored a third-round knockout. This fight with Smith is just about three weeks out from that. He has accepted this fight on just one-weeks notice.

Both of these guys are absolute warriors. Smith has been on a tear in the UFC and in his career overall. Worthy may be a rookie in the UFC but he has proven himself a threat on the regional circuit.
