LFA 201 Main Card Results
LFA 201 touched down in Sao Paolo, Brazil on February 7 with a loaded main card headlined by two title fights at strawweight and flyweight.
Lany Silva vs. Rose Conceicao (Strawweight Championship)
Lany Silva had her hands full, as the champion Rose Conceicao proved to be a legitimate threat. Both implemented all elements of MMA. The first round was very back-and-forth, with both fighters prioritizing kicking over boxing.
The second round played out very similarly to the opening round. However, this all changed as the champion elected to push the younger Silva against the cage. Conceicao managed to overpower Silva to the canvas, where the challenger reactively threatened an Armbar. The fight would end up back on the feet, with both strawweights exchanging low kicks and right hands.
Silva came out more aggressive to start the third round. Conceicao remained composed on the feet as she attacked Silva’s body. The champion returned to her strong suit against the cage as she scored an emphatic takedown. Silva responded to this takedown by getting back to her feet. She then scored a trip of her own and spent over two minutes in control. Conceicao worked her way up. Silva landed the best strike of the third round, a spinning back kick in the closing seconds.
Conceicao seemed to struggle, gauging the striking distance on Silva as the fight progressed. The champion opened the fourth round with four missed strikes. In a rhythm, Silva started getting the better of Conceicao in the clinch. Both fighters attempted to land big right hands near the end of the round.
The fifth and final round started with Conceicao looking to pressure forward and land a massive right hand. Silva displayed excellent head movement as she evaded the champion and landed quality counter punches. Ultimately, Silva used feints and patience to set up a devastating left high kick flush to the head.
Result: Lany Silva via 5th-Round KO (Head Kick)
Marcos Degli vs. Lincon Santos (Interim Flyweight Championship)
A potential flyweight star emerged in LFA 201’s co-main event. Brazilians Marcos Degli (12-3-0) and Lincon Santos fought intensely for the LFA interim flyweight championship.
Degli, 24, opened this title fight with heavily chopping low kicks on his opponent. Santos, 26, looked for a contrasting approach. He pursued a takedown up against the cage after evading a right-hand from Degli. In this instance, the younger fighter showed his well-rounded game as he prevented Santos from advancing positions and landing strikes. Degli eventually threatened a ninja choke with his back to the cage, but was unsuccessful. Santos used this as an opening to secure a body lock and a takedown.
The two Brazilians scrambled, with Santos getting the better and ending up on top. Degli worked his way to the cage and eventually returned to his feet. He used slicing elbows in close range to circle off the cage and return to the center. Santos used a lot of energy in his grappling-heavy approach. Degli noticed this and began walking down Santos, offering hard body kicks and winging hooks. Santos would get in on another takedown attempt, but fall short against the cage.
Marcos came out in the second round and again attacked Lincon’s lead leg. Santos caught a body kick from Degli and pushed his back toward the cage. Degli quickly shrugged this attempt off with gut-wrenching punches to the body. Santos gathered himself, reset, and delivered a left hook to the temple of Santos. This punch sent Santos on wobbly legs as he fell backward to the ground. Degli seized the moment and followed up with emphatic ground and pound.
Result: Marcos Degli via 2nd-Round TKO (Punches)
Jose Delano vs. Abu-Muslik Alikhanov
Jose Delano (15-3-0) and Abu-Muslik Alikhanov (7-1-0) delivered one of the many outstanding performances. These featherweights clashed in an explosive matchup.
This three-round featherweight fight delivered the goods as the action failed to escape the first round. Delano, 28, showed composure on the feet as he looked to gauge his opponent’s approach. Alikhanov, 34, elected to lead the dance early, offering Delano low and body kicks. The experienced southpaw Delano circled Alikhanov while landing, chopping low kicks. Around a minute into the fight, Alikhanov changed levels for a takedown. Delano sprawled reactively and deterred the entry. This happened twice in a ten-second sequence.
Delano likely sensed Alikhanov being uncomfortable on the feet. The Russian seemed to have trouble locating Delano as he began whiffing punches. Delano slowly grew in confidence as he dictated the flow of the fight. He successfully defended six takedowns from Alikhanov as the Russian grew visibly tired. Delano then capitalized on his opponent’s gas tank as he increased his pressure. With Alikhanov’s back to the cage, Delano started to tee off with his boxing. Hurt and tired, Alikhanov desperately looked to scramble on the canvas but would only be met with more cracking punches. Alikhanov somehow managed to take this punishment and return to his feet, only to face a combination of punches. Delano put together a highlight reel four-punch combination to end the fight in a knockout.
Result: Jose Delano via 1st-Round KO (Right Hook)

Fury FC 101 Main Card Results
Fury FC 101 occurred on February 7 in Dallas, Texas. The event featured the talented Georgian striker Otari Tanzilovi. He debuted for the promotion against Mexico’s Guillermo Torres.
Guillermo Torres vs. Otari Tanzilovi
Tanzilovi, 26, was forced to work off the cage from the jump in this fight. Torres, 38, seemed hesitant to exchange on the feet with a fresh and energized Tanzilovi. Torres repeatedly hammered knees to the thigh of Tanzilovi as he controlled him against the fence. The two bantamweights struggled over the position until Tanzilovi finally freed himself. Now, the talented Georgian striker could let off his arsenal of kicks in open space. Shifting from hook kicks to spinning back kicks, Torres seemed to be stifled by the flashy strikes of Tanzilovi. He roduced a low striking output this opening round, and found most of his success in his low kick to Tanzilovi’s lead leg.
The 26-year-old managed the striking distance well, keeping the shorter Torres at bay. Tanzilovi effectively got his own strikes off. They both remained in the center as they exchanged low kicks. Finally, Torres pushed for a clinch against the cage. He worked for a single-leg takedown, chaining it into a double-leg attempt. Tanzilovi showed strong hips in his takedown defense as he negated the attempt. The younger fighter eventually freed himself from the cage and returned to his sharp striking skillset in the center. Tanzilovi started to utilize hard kicks to the body of Torres this round.
This same turn of events would replay over the third round. The older and smaller bantamweight Torres was outmatched in the striking department. He could not secure a takedown on Tanzilovi.
Result: Otari Tanzilovi via Unanimous Decision (29-28 x2, 30-27)
Umronjon Mansurov vs. Pena Allamov
The co-main event of Fury FC 101 featured a catchweight matchup. 21-year-old Umronjon Mansurov (2-0-1) faced 27-year-old Pena Allamov (5-3-1).
The fight opened with the Tajikistani fighter Mansurov displaying sharp striking on the feet. He showed a clear advantage in hand speed. The young, undefeated fighter moved forward on the canvas. He ended up on Allamov’s back while threatening chokes and punches.
Mansurov opened the second round by dropping Allamov with a big left hand. He then quickly swarmed Allamov and threatened a Guillotine choke. Allamov ended up escaping but would get reversed in position. Mansurov landed a few well-placed knees on Allamov’s face while juggling for the position in the center of the cage. Allamov would end up snapping Mansurov to the canvas, where he advanced into a Guillotine choke off his back. Mansurov patiently escaped this choke and ended up on top.
Around the 45-second mark, Mansurov appeared to grab inside the fence using his toes to help with the grappling exchange. The referee saw him do this and warned him, slapping his toes away. However, Mansurov did not listen and returned to the illegal move. This prompted the referee to halt the action and take a point away from Mansurov. Allamov could resume the top position or have the fight return to standing. He decided to return to the ground. Allamov seemed motivated by this point deduction. He came out in the third and final round looking dominant in the grappling battle.
Result: Majority Draw (29-27, 28-28 x2)
Cody Freeman vs. Shane Torres
Featherweights Cody Freeman (8-6-0) and Shane Torres (6-6-0) wasted no time inside the cage. The two fighters instantaneously engaged in a firefight.
Torres, 32, closed the distance and rushed towards Freeman with awkward punches. These punches were an attempt to set up a takedown entry. Torres landed a few right hands until eventually shooting for a double leg. Freeman displayed good defense with his back to the cage and successfully sprawled on Torres. The 29-year-old Freeman began offering knees to the head of Torres against the cage. Now in control, Freeman snapped Torres to the canvas and committed to a submission. Freeman quickly fastened his grip around the neck and arm of Torres and advanced to an Anaconda choke. It did not take long before Torres was choked unconscious.
Result: Cody Freeman via 1st-Round Submission (Anaconda Choke)
