LFA 199 Main Card Results

Legacy Fighting Alliance kicked off the UFC Fight Pass calendar with LFA 199. It featured a chain of sensational finishing performances inside the octagon. The event occurred at Tachi Palace Casino and Resort in Lemoore, California.

Erick Visconde vs. Ary Farias

LFA 199’s main event featured a featherweight showdown between skilled Brazilians. 28-year-old Erick Visconde (15-3) faced 35-year-old Ary Farias (14-5) in a three round bout.

7x Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, Ary Farias, provided a valid submission threat early on. However, Visconde weathered the storm as he displayed UFC-level composure and talent inside the cage. The fight opened with both men taking the center of the octagon as they established their jabs. After a few leg kicks and forward pressure, Visconde secured a takedown after engaging in a bodylock. Visconde attempted to deliver minor ground-and-pound on Farias from that position. Then, he found himself in danger of a heel hook.

Visconde managed to escape the submission. He briefly got back to his feet. Then, the elite grappler took him down. Farias quickly secured the back of Visconde and started searching for an opportunity at a rear naked choke. Visconde kept his composure as he fought off the hands of Farias until the round came to an end. Come the second round, Visconde came out applying heavy pressure on the feet as he backed up Farias. Visconde began to open up with more aggressive combinations until finally landing a viral spinning elbow knockout over Farias. This viral knockout has potential to end up being the best highlight in all of regional MMA in 2025.

Result: Visconde via 2nd-Round KO (Spinning Elbow)

Josh Hokit vs. John Lopez

LFA 199’s co-main event showcased a promising Heavyweight prospect. Former Fresno State and San Francisco 49ers FullbackM Josh Hokit (3-0), dominated John Lopez (2-2) in his LFA debut. His victory was convincing.

Hokit, 27, wasted no time. He got this fight to the canvas by shooting in for a double-leg takedown within the first thirty seconds. Lopez, 34, displayed little to no resistance in stuffing this takedown attempt as he was forced to the ground. Once on top of Lopez, Hokit patiently worked through his transitions to the back of the older opponent. After taking back position over Lopez, Hokit began raining nasty punches, forcing Lopez to shell up.

Result: Hokit via 1st-Round TKO (Punches)

Rafael do Nascimento vs. Brandon Altomare

A featured featherweight clash between Rafael do Nascimento (10-3) and Brandon Altomare (4-2) showcased superb submission ability.

Nascimento opened up the three-round bout by utilizing a few kicks to keep Altomare nearby. Then, a shocking moment happened in the first round. Both men traded right hooks, and both crashed to the canvas. Realizing Altomare’s threat on the feet, the grappler reverted to his heavy grappling game plan early on. With his back to the cage, Nascimento secured a well-timed takedown on an incoming Altomare threatening a flying knee. The talented submission artist Rafael do Nascimento quickly secured the back and put on a show inside the LFA cage. He began threatening multiple submissions simultaneously while trying to advance position. However, Altomare was able to negate these attempts and briefly get back to his feet. To what would be his eventual detriment, Altomare decided to re-engage in the grappling game. Nascimento slickly secured a highlight reel calf slicer submission for the win.

Fury FC 100’s star-studded event concluded with a great matchup. The welterweight championship was between 24-year-old Shimon Smotritsky (11-3) and 23-year-old Sam Kilmer (9-4). 2x Dana White Contender Series Alum, Smitrotsky, looked to impress with UFC eyes in the building.

This main event welterweight championship fight started with Kilmer securing a takedown on Smitrotsky within the first twenty seconds. Once on top, Kilmer prioritized position over dealing damage as he patiently worked the grappling. Smitrotsky would utilize the cage to get back to a standing position with Kilmer glued to his back. Kilmer called for a rematch with undefeated Isaac Moreno.

Justice Torres vs. Cameron Graves (Featherweight Championship)

This featherweight title fight showcased Graves seeming one step ahead of the defending champion all night. He worked his way to a dominant performance overall in five championship rounds. Torres tried to establish his boxing range. However, he had trouble with Graves’ length and kicking ability. Graves successfully landed a wide range of attacks, from low kicks to body kicks, punches, etc. He pressed forward for most of the fight as he eventually bloodied the face of Torres with strikes. Graves initiated some grappling sequences in the second half of the battle and eventually secured takedowns over Torres. The champion showed resilience in the fifth and final round; however, was no match for Graves’ output. Graves called for a UFC shot in his post-fight interview inside the cage.

The challenger took the center of the cage and delivered a perfect right hook on Moran. This well-placed punch sent Moran to the canvas as he tried to get his wits about.
