UFC confirms date for London return
It has been three years since the UK UFC fans have had the privilege of a UFC event in their home country. That long hiatus will now end as the promotion confirmed that they will return to the English capital on March 17th.
Dana White and his team took a break from hosting events within the UK due to the restrictions and headaches the pandemic had caused. The last time fans had the pleasure of welcoming the UFC to London was in March of 2019 when Jorge Masvidal silenced the arena knocking out Darren Till, which seems like a lifetime ago.
The lineup for the scheduled card has the potential to be the best yet, with names such as Darren Till, Tom Aspinall, Paddy Pimblett, Jack Shore and Arnold Allen all expected to be among the action.
UFC president Dana White expressed that he always loved coming to London due to the passionate fans that made the event special. Since the announcement, White commented on the return to London, as per the UFC official website.
UFC President Dana White on Return to London
“Every time we put on an event in London it’s an unbelievable experience. The fans are incredible, and the fights are always off the charts. It’s a different kind of energy in England. And I can’t wait to get back there with a fight card on March 19th.”
UFC Fight Club members will be able to purchase the tickets on Wednesday, February 2nd. While pre-sale will be available to purchase on Thursday 3rd, followed by general sale on Friday, February 4th.
If you were to play matchmaker, who would you match the Brits up against on March 17th?
