Thompson vs. Pettis announced as main event for UFC Nashville
UFC on ESPN+ 6 is official for March 23 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Stephen Thompson meets former lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis in the headliner. UFC officials formally announced the card on tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 1 broadcast, along with five other fights.
This marks the UFC’s return to Nashville, and the return of Pettis after his loss to Tony Ferguson at UFC 229. Pettis moves up to welterweight for the first time in his UFC run, in hopes to defeat a former welterweight title contender in “Wonderboy” Thompson.
The current UFC on ESPN+ 6 lineup includes:
- Stephen Thompson vs Anthony Pettis
- Curtis Blaydes vs Justin Willis
- Randa Markos vs Angela Hill
- Maycee Barber vs JJ Aldrich
- Alexis Davis vs Jennifer Maia
- Jussier Formiga vs Deiveson Figueiredo
