The underrated match to watch at WrestleMania 35 in East Rutherford, New Jersey

Read Time:2 Minute, 30 Second

WrestleMania 35 has plenty of matches booked and because of this, many tend to fly under the radar.

Obviously, the WWE Universe is talking about the main event matches: Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair, Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins, and Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan. It’s clear they are the most talked about and most anticipated matches going into the grandest stage of them all. But what about the others? Which should you know about before the PPV event on Sunday?

I have looked over the various matches on the WrestleMania card and I think the match that is being most overlooked is Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe for the United States Championship.

We have seen these two in multi-man matches, but to my knowledge we have never seen the two go one-on-one. I think their styles create the possibility for this to be one of the most fun matches on the card. Of course, Rey is a crazy high-flyer and Joe is a powerhouse/submission wrestler. Rey’s size gives Joe the ability to toss him all over the ring and I think the two will come up with some extremely creative spots. Joe and Rey are both two of the best wrestlers in the world, and I don’t think they will let this platform go to waste. The match may not have a ton of time, but I don’t think they will need it. I know a lot of people would’ve preferred for this to be Rey vs Andrade, but Rey vs Joe in a singles match is the fresher option.

Aside from the match quality, which will be stellar, WWE has re-introduced Dominik, Rey’s son on a recent edition of WWE SmackDown. With what Joe did in the Styles feud bringing his wife into it, I would not be surprised if Joe went after Rey’s son while he’s sitting at ringside. This match, like a couple other matches on the card, lacks the build up. I think Joe and Rey will create a story in the ring, without a doubt. Joe recently won that championship and I think he is the kind of character that needs more dominant wins. That being said, I think Rey’s size will allow him to look dominant, and the two will put on a phenomenal match and story.

Nobody is talking about Rey vs Joe and I think it should have more hype going into it. In my opinion this is the most underrated match going into WrestleMania 35.

Honourable Mention: AJ Styles vs Randy Orton

I almost made this my underrated match because I think this matchup will be amazing. Styles and Orton are both fantastic wrestlers and there’s plenty of options for Orton to get creative with the RKO. I think people are looking forward to this match, so I decided against picking it.
