The underrated fights to watch at UFC on ESPN+ 15 in Shenzhen, China

On Saturday, August 31st, the UFC will be making its way to Shenzhen, China for UFC on ESPN+ 15: Andrade vs. Zhang.

Here are the underrated fights to watch for the preliminary card:

Batgerel Danaa vs. Heili Alateng

In this UFC bantamweight bout, Batgerel Danaa will be taking on Heili Alateng.

Danaa is making his UFC debut fighting out of Mongolia, holds a professional record of 6-1. His 6 professional wins include three wins by knockout, a submission, and 2 decisions. The only loss of his career was by way of decision. Ever since that loss, he has managed to rack up two impressive victories. His two wins since the defeat in 2015 include a first-round and second-round finish. He typically fights at featherweight but will be dropping down to bantamweight for his debut.

His opponent, Heili Alateng, is also making his UFC debut, fighting out of Beijing, China. He holds a professional record of 12-7 which includes 4 knockouts and 3 submissions. He is 8-1-1 in his last 10 bouts. Those 8 wins include 3 knockouts, 1 submission, and 4 decisions. In his last two fights, he has racked up first-round and second-round TKOs. He normally fights at flyweight but he will be moving up to bantamweight for his debut.

Damir Ismagulov vs. Thiago Moises

In this UFC lightweight bout, Damir Ismagulov will be going to war with Thiago Moises.

Ismagulov is fighting out of Orenburg, Russia. He holds a professional record of 18-2, including 9 knockouts and 8 decisions. He is currently riding a 13-fight win streak which dates back to November 2015. In those 13 wins, 6 of which were by TKO and 1 by SUB. In his most recent fights, he racked up a pair of unanimous decision wins in the UFC. He is now 2-0 in the UFC.

His opponent, Thiago Moises, is making his UFC debut, fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He holds a professional record of 12-3, including 3 knockouts and 4 submissions. He has fought notable names such as Jason Knight, Beneil Dariush and Kurt Holobaugh. His UFC record currently sits at 1-1, where he lost a decision and won a decision. He also holds a first-round TKO win from the DWTNCS Brazil back in 2018.

Da Un Jung vs. Khadis Ibragimov

In this UFC Light Heavyweight bout, Da Un Jung will be fighting Khadis Ibragimov.

Jung is a UFC debut fighting out of Daegu, South Korea. He holds a professional record of 10-2. That record includes 8 knockouts and 1 submission. His two losses have come by way of decision and submission. He’s never been knocked out in his 12-fight career so far. He is currently riding an 8-fight win streak, including 7 knockouts and 1 submission.

His opponent, Ibragimov, is another UFC debut fighting out of St. Petersburg, Russia. He holds a professional record of 8-0, including 2 knockouts and 3 submissions. His current 8-fight win streak includes 3 submissions and 2 TKOs. In his last two fights, he racked up a second-round submission and a first-round TKO.
