On Saturday, August 10th, the UFC will be hosting UFC Fight Night 156 live from Montevideo, Uruguay. The main event features UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko, defending her title against the #3 ranked flyweight in the world, Liz Carmouche.

Here are the underrated fights to watch at Fight Night 156 in Uruguay:

Enrique Barzola vs Bobby Moffett

In this UFC featherweight bout, Enrique ‘El Fuerte’ Barzola will be going to war with Bobby ‘The Wolfman’ Moffett.

Barzola holds a professional record of 15-4-1, including 4 knockouts and 4 submission wins. He holds a UFC record of 5-2 and has never been finished in his 20-fight run as a professional. In his last fight, he lost to Kevin Aguilar by unanimous decision. Prior to that, Barzola was on an impressive four-fight win streak, including wins over Gabriel Benitez and Brandon Davis.

His opponent, Bobby Moffett, holds a professional record of 14-4, 9 of which came by way of submission. 9 out of 9 submissions came within the first two rounds of the fight. His UFC record currently stands at 1-1. He also has a second-round submission win from DWCS. In his most recent fight, he fought rising prospect Bryce Mitchell and lost by unanimous decision. Prior to that, he was riding an impressive four-fight win streak, which included 3 submissions.

Geraldo De Freitas Jr. vs Chris Gutierrez

In this UFC bantamweight bout, Geraldo ‘Espartano’ De Freitas Jr will be taking on Chris ‘El Guapo’ Gutierrez.

Freitas Jr holds a professional record of 12-4, including 4 knockouts and 5 submissions. He holds a UFC record of 1-0. In his UFC debut, back in February 2019, he defeated Felipe Dias Colares by unanimous decision. He is currently riding a 7-fight win streak, undefeated in MMA since October of 2015.

His opponent, Chris Gutierrez, holds a professional record of 13-4, including 6 knockouts and 6 decisions. He holds a UFC record of 1-0. He lost at the TUF 28 Finale back in November 2018, losing to Raoni Barcelos by second-round submission. But he recently bounced back in his UFC debut, defeating Ryan MacDonald by unanimous decision.

Ciryl Gane vs Raphael Pessoa

In this UFC heavyweight bout, it’s the battle of the undefeated when Ciryl ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane takes on Raphael ‘Bebezao’ Pessoa.

Gane, holds a professional record of 3-0. His three wins include 2 TKO finishes and a first-round submission. This fight will be his UFC debut. In his most recent fight, he fought Roggers Souza at TKO 48 and finished the fight within the first round. Gane is a big heavyweight, standing at 6’5” and weighing in at 244 pounds. Gane brings a strong ground game and knockout power to the table.

His opponent, Raphael Pessoa, holds a professional record of 9-0, including 6 knockouts. In his most recent fight, he fought Brian Heden at LFA 50 and scored a first-round TKO finish. The fight only went 1 minute and 39 seconds. Pessoa is a big heavyweight, standing at 6’3” and weighing in at 263.6 pounds. He brings a ground game and vicious knockout power in any fight.

Both men are undefeated and about to make their UFC debuts at heavyweight. Both bring big knockout power and an impressive ground game in their fights.
