On Saturday, July 27th, the UFC will be making its way back to Canada for UFC 240: Holloway vs Edgar.

Here are the underrated fights to watch for the fight card:

Tanner Boser vs Giacomo Lemos

UFC heavyweights clash in this bout as Canada’s own Tanner ‘The Bulldozer’ Boser takes on undefeated Giacomo Lemos.

Boser holds a professional record of 16-5, including 8 knockouts, 2 submissions, and 6 decisions. Out of 5 career losses, he has only ever been finished once. All of his remaining losses came by way of decision. In his most recent fight, Boser fought Jared Kilkenny at Unified MMA 37, scoring a fourth-round TKO.

His opponent, Lemos, holds an undefeated record of 6-0, which includes 5 knockouts and 1 submission. Ever since his professional MMA debut, he has never seen a fight go outside of the second round. In his debut, he won by third-round submission. Ever since then, he has managed to rack up 5 consecutive knockouts, all ranging between first and second rounds.

Both of these heavy-hitters are making their UFC debut in this fight so it’s sure to be a good one. Don’t miss out on the action!

Gavin Tucker vs Seung Woo Choi

UFC featherweights collide in this bout as Gavin ‘Guv’Nor’ Tucker battles Seung Woo Choi.

Tucker holds a professional record of 10-1, including 4 knockouts, 4 submissions, and 2 decisions. His only loss came by way of decision. He is the former Extreme Combat Championship 145-pound champ and holds a UFC record of 1-1 so far. He was successful in his UFC debut, defeating Sam Sicilia by unanimous decision. After that, he fought Rick Glenn and lost by unanimous decision. In that fight, he suffered four broken bones in his face. He has taken some time away from fighting since and will make a long awaited return vs Choi.

His opponent, Choi holds a professional record of 7-2, including 5 knockouts and 2 decisions. He holds a UFC record of 0-1. Previous to his UFC debut, he had managed to rack up 3 knockouts in 4 fights. He made his UFC debut most recently, where he lost to Movsar Evloev by unanimous decision. He is getting right back into action with this fight.

Both of these men are coming off of losses in their last fight, but they have a shot at redemption here. Let’s see what they got!

Viviane Araujo vs Alexis Davis

UFC flyweights go to war in this bout as Viviane ‘Vivi’ Araujo takes on Alexis ‘Ally-Gator’ Davis.

Araujo holds a professional record of 7-1, including 3 knockouts and 4 submissions. She will be moving up to flyweight for this fight, as her natural weight class is strawweight. She began her pro career on a 3-0 run. All three of those wins came by submission, two of which were in the first-round. She dropped her fourth pro fight to Sarah Frota, having lost by first-round TKO. She has since bounced back in a big way and is currently on a 4-fight win streak. Her current run includes a first-round submission and three knockouts.

Her opponent, Davis holds a professional record of 19-9, including 8 submissions and 9 decisions. She is currently on a 2-fight losing streak, having lost to flyweight contender Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia. Davis has fought and defeated some of the best female fighters in the world today though. To name a few, she holds wins over current bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, current flyweight title challenger Liz Carmouche, and former flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye.

With Araujo on a big win streak right now and Davis looking to bounce back, it will be interesting to see how this fight pans out. Let’s see what happens when these two warriors collide in Saturday night’s prelim main event.
