The Scrap was able to sit down with Jesse Taylor on his way to Friday night training at 10th Planet in San Diego to discuss his future in fighting.

Jesse “JT Money” Taylor is more than ready for his return to the cage. After an agonizing 2-year layoff, the TUF 25 Redemption Champ will be fighting for the Russian promotion, ACA, in October.

Winning fights on TUF against Dhiego Lima, James Krause, Hayder Hassan, and Mehdi Baghdad, Taylor was on a hot streak. He was scheduled to fight Belal Muhammad at UFC 121. Unfortunately, a pre-fight drug test came back testing positive for clomiphene. He was subsequently let go by the UFC.

Recently signing with Dodge Sports, Taylor is excited about his new management. “I just want to get back in there,” said Taylor. The 36-year-old welterweight (31-15-0) explained he is known for being a submission and ground fighter, but admitted he feels good in his stand up. “JT Money” believes with his style, he could move up quickly in the UFC welterweight division.

Watch for Taylor to redeem himself this October in Russia.
