Supercard of Honor: The Show of WrestleMania Weekend

Read Time:1 Minute, 29 Second

WrestleMania weekend is one of the best things surrounding wrestling outside of WWE. Independent wrestling promotions run their best cards of the year during this time. The show most fans are excited about, excluding WrestleMania itself, is Supercard of Honor from Ring of Honor.

For many fans, the seven matches for Supercard of Honor are the strongest of WrestleMania weekend. Some may even say they are better than the current WrestleMania 39 card… Truth be told, all matches for this year’s Supercard of Honor could be Match of the Year candidates.

What makes Supercard of Honor so interesting is the card’s variety, on top of some interesting names like Katsuyori Shibata. The card has a little bit of everything for fans, from the high-flying match in Hijo del Vikingo vs. Komander for the AAA Mega Campeonato, to the pure rules match between Wheeler Yuta and Katsuyori Shibata.

The card also has a ladder match involving some of the best tag teams in the world, Samoa Joe facing Mark Briscoe, and we can’t forget Athena vs. Yuka Sakazaki for the ROH Women’s World Championship.

The main event of this show will be the World Title match between CHIKARA alumni Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston. This match was one in the making for a long time, even before Tony Khan became the owner of ROH. From friends to bitter rivals, the match promises to be one hell of a bout for fans.

ROH’s Supercard of Honor is really strong card that has the potential to be a PPV of the Year candidate, if all matches deliver. The show will take place on March 31, 2023 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.
