Stipe Miocic wants to talk to Colby Covington for ‘saying stuff’ to his wife

Read Time:1 Minute, 53 Second

At UFC 241, when Stipe Miocic was taking on Daniel Cormier for the heavyweight title, the top welterweight contender was in the audience.

There, Covington saw Miocic’s wife and manager and apparently said some things to her. But, what Covington said to her is not known. Now, the UFC’s heavyweight champion would like to have a talk with Colby Covington.

“I’m kinda upset with that kid,” Miocic said on TalkRadio 77 WABC. “He was saying stuff to my wife after my fight. I might have to talk to him about that. I’m not trying to start anything here, I’m just saying I want a normal conversation. I’m not gonna go out and take his head off.”

“My wife was walking to the cage, and I guess he was saying something to her and my manager being the man he is told him to shut the fuck up,” Miocic continued. “To this day my manager won’t tell me what he said, so I’m going to find out. I’m very good, I’m like the FBI. I’ll find out what he said and I’m just gonna go up to him and talk to him about it.”

Even though he says he wants to talk to him, Stipe Miocic says that is all it will be. He just wants to have a man-to-man talk to discuss what he said and why he did. But, he makes it clear, he is not mad at Colby Covington at all.

“I’m a normal guy,” Miocic said. “I’m just gonna go up to him and talk to him, I’m not gonna take his head off. I am gonna go, ‘Hey man, what’s your problem’. I’m not mad at the kid, I just want to talk to him about it.”

As of right now, Colby Covington has yet to respond to Stipe Miocic’s offer to talk to him. Nor, has he said what he said to Miocic’s wife.
