Sean O’Malley ‘optimistic’ he’ll fight at UFC 248 (VIDEO)
Sean O’Malley is ready to get back inside the UFC’s Octagon and show the world what he has been up to for the last nearly two years. After multiple flags from USADA and suspensions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission following positive tests linked to bad supplements, O’Malley is cleared to return in a little over a month’s time.
“Suga” is scheduled to face Jose Quinones at UFC 248. The event takes place March 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero.
The 25-year-old O’Malley checked in with The Scrap to discuss how he’s optimistic, but not completely confident he’ll fight at UFC 248, how much he as improved over the last two years, competing at Quintet Ultra in December, his podcast, what he’s missed about fight week, how he plans to reintroduce himself to the MMA community on March 7, the stacked UFC bantamweight division, and much more.
