Ryan Reber is inching closer to BKFC gold
“Royal” Ryan Reber has put together a 4-0 record in BKFC and finished three of those opponents. On February 2nd at BKFC 57, the #3-ranked bantamweight will take on Derek Perez. A victory should undoubtedly solidify a title opportunity next.
Reber is no stranger to adversity and has used his experiences to win outside of the squared circle too.

The Sky is the Limit
When Reber was 18, his father asked him about his life plan. Reluctantly, he went to the beauty salon down the street. While it was a rough start, he eventually developed skills by observing his peers. This experience led to a job at a local barbershop.
“Cutting hair is an art, just like fighting,” Reber professed. “I really enjoy where it takes me and the people I meet.” 15 years later, he now owns a barbershop and still cuts hair. He admitted that he runs each day based on how he wants to structure his training.
This control allows the dual threat to enjoy financial freedom from his second job. “I don’t plan on getting rich off the fight game,” Reber admitted. “I plan on getting rich off the people I surround myself with.”
What does this mean? Well Reber appreciates the additional income from cutting hair. But most importantly, he ensures his clients have a royal time. Quality conversations are an essential part of his side hustle.
What is Ryan’s long-term goal? Whether expanding the barbershop business or opening up more businesses post-career, he knows the opportunities are endless. Perhaps BKFC could hire him as the promotion’s barber during their fight weeks. He would hook up his peers with a fresh cut before their fights…
