Renato Moicano vs. Korean Zombie set for main event of UFC Greenville
UFC announced that featherweight standouts Renato Moicano (13-2-1 MMA) and Chan Sung Jung (14-5 MMA) will main event the UFC Greenville card this summer.
Jung, known to better to fans as “The Korean Zombie”, was last seen in action November of 2018. He was featured in the main event of UFC Fight Night 139 where he took on Yair Rodriguez in a wild back and forth battle that was on the short list of many as a “Fight of the Year” contender. Most scorecards had the fight going for Jung before Rodriguez threw a literal last-second Hail Mary upward elbow and left Jung completely unconscious at 4:59 of round five. Prior to the loss, Jung has made a successful return to action when he knocked out Dennis Bermudez in 2017 after a four-year hiatus due to injuries and mandatory military service in South Korea.
Jung’s opponent will also be looking to get back into the win column come this June.
Moicano was being discussed as a potential title contender before running into a resurging Jose Aldo in February. The Brazilian fighter is currently 5-2 in the UFC and has picked up wins over veterans Jeremy Stephens and Cub Swanson since joining the promotion in 2014.
Earlier today, UFC officials announced that UFC Greenville would also feature a clash between Bryan Barberena (14-6 MMA) and Randy Brown (10-3 MMA).
Barberena is coming off his own “Fight of the Year” contender with Vincent Luque. Baberena and Luque went back and forth in an all-out war at UFC on ESPN 1 last February. After two rounds of intense action, Luque finally got the finish late in the third.
Brown was last seen being finished off by the hard-hitting Niko Price in bizarre fashion. Price landed a multitude of hammerfists from his back to KO Brown from the bottom. The loss moved Brown’s Octagon record to 4-3.
UFC Greenville is scheduled to go down on June 22nd at the Bon Secours Wellness Center in Greenville, South Carolina. UFC on ESPN+ 12 will mark the first time the promotion has visited South Carolina.

Renato Moicano vs Chan Sung Jung

Andre Ewell vs Anderson Dos Santos
Andrea Lee vs Montana De La Rosa
Bryan Barberena vs Randy Brown
Allen Crowder vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik
