Raymond Daniels has one win in Bellator, but he made a statement with a highlight reel finish.

That was in May 2019, now he will fight this weekend at Bellator 238. Daniels is currently unranked but will face a top-10 opponent in Jason King. Daniels has big goals in Bellator, and wants to kick the year off right.

The Scrap’s Drake Riggs had the chance to speak with Daniels days before Bellator 238.

Daniels says he feels good ahead of his bout with King, who is also coming off a win. Daniels says he wants to fight in January, April, July and then later in the year. Raymond stated, “In that fight I would like to fight somewhere up in the top 10”.

Daniels last knockout was a spectacular one, and he holds it in a high spot. “That’s one of my top five knockouts,” said Daniels. He intends to keep putting on a show for the fans. “I like to keep people on the edge of their seats like, ‘what is this guy gonna do next?’”. Daniels was also asked about the possibility of fighting in Japan, and he is open to it. “I would love to do it. It could be kickboxing or it can be MMA, I’ll do them both on one night.”

“The Bellator welterweight division is one of the best divisions I feel right now.”

Daniels claims he has always risen to the top, and wants to continue to challenge himself. He feels he is a part of one of the best divisions in MMA. He wants to be a champion, and he wants to be the greatest of all-time.

That journey continues this weekend at Bellator 238, live on DAZN.
