Raphael Assuncao vs. Cory Sandhagen set for UFC 241 in Anaheim, California
Cory Sandhagen makes his return at UFC 241 against Raphael Assuncao inside the Honda Center.
Sandhagen (11-1 MMA) looks to continue his ascent to the bantamweight title with a win over another top ranked fighter in Assuncao. The star prospect is currently riding a 6-fight winning streak after his split decision win over John Lineker at UFC Ft. Lauderdale.
Assuncao (27-6 MMA) is coming off a submission loss to Marlon Moraes in February. Looking to rebound from his first loss since 2016, Assuncao looks to derail the hype behind Sandhagen and prove that he is still atop the division.
UFC 241 is scheduled to take place on August 17th and will feature a heavyweight title rematch between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic in the main event. The card is also features Yoel Romero vs Paulo Costa and Anthony Pettis vs Nate Diaz.
