Ranking the current factions in WWE

Factions have a storied history in WWE, with stables like NWO, DX, even going as far back as the Heenan Family. While WWE has strayed away from factions lately, there are still some good ones between NXT and main roster. I am going to rank the top 5 current WWE factions in order of overall most entertaining. Let's do it!

#5. The Four Horsewoman

Kicking off our list, we have 3/4's of the Four Horsewomen, Marina Shaffir, Jessamyn Duke, and NXT Women's Champion, Shayna Baszler. Now I am not the biggest fan of these three ladies, however, you can not deny that as top heel faction in NXT, they are very good. Shayna plays the dominant heel champion extremely well and her back up Shaffir and Duke play their role perfectly. They are not the most entertaining faction on this list, but they are one of the most solid and are extremely dominant on a week-to-week basis. Shayna has also made the MMA to Pro Wrestling transition extremely smoothly, and Shaffir & Duke are getting better!

#4. Forgotten Sons

Coming in at #4, we have Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, and Wesley Blake. These three are extremely underrated in my opinion, and I feel their packaging is solid. While they are not the best wrestlers in the world, they know their characters extremely well, and are very good at communicating it. They are also good at telling stories in the ring and while those stories usually aren't ground breaking, they know how to tell a story in the ring. They are solid wrestlers and have potential to be a decent mid-card heel team on main roster, probably Monday Night Raw. Although their personalities are not as entertaining as the next three entrants on the list, they're destructive, heel persona is one that NXT needs right now with their tag division cleared out recently.

#3. British Strong Style

Now while British Strong Style as a faction has only been together a couple times on WWE TV, they are easily one of the best factions WWE has on their payroll right now. Even if you look at the members individually, Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, and Trent Seven have been pretty successful in WWE. Of course Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate are former NXT UK Champions, with Bate being the inaugural champion and Dunne being the longest reigning. Bate and Seven are also former NXT Tag Champs and were recently in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as Moustache Mountain. If you watch their work outside of WWE, you will see why they are so high on this list. The British Strong Style is extremely fun to watch, as we've seen a taste of in NXT/NXT UK. On top of their in ring work, if you go back and watch some of their promos, they have an ability that makes them one of the best factions WWE has right now. There are several feuds I would love to see out of these three.

#2. The New Day

Now we are getting to the top 2 best factions in WWE and in my opinion you can not talk about factions in WWE and not talk about The New Day. When the faction debuted in 2014, fans could not stand them and it seemed they would not last very long. Five years later they are 5x Tag Team Champions (twice on Raw, three times on SmackDown) and have the second longest reign in history with 483 days. The group of Big E, Xavier Woods, and current WWE Champion have consistently been the most entertaining parts of whatever show they are on, and while their character has not changed drastically, they have never felt stale. The three are also one of the best teams in history when it comes to their in-ring abilities. They have had legendary matches mainly with The Usos, including a Hell in a Cell match which is one of the best Hell in a Cell matches of all time. The chemistry between the three is something that is extremely rare as it is so natural. For a team that was put together because the three weren't doing anything, they have some of the best chemistry and timing in history. It also resinates on TV that the three are as close as brothers backstage, and that was made obvious when Kofi won the WWE Championship at this years WrestleMania. The emotion on the faces of Big E and Xavier while they celebrated with Kofi showed their bond. When it comes to in the ring, on the mic, and in the record books, The New Day is one of the best factions in WWE history and I think they will only get better.

#1. The Undisputed Era

Was there any doubt as to what would be number one on my list? Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O'Reilly are the best faction in WWE right now, and that is Undisputed. The original faction of Cole, Fish and O'Reilly debuted at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2 in the main event with Cole attacking new champion, Drew McIntyre. Roderick Strong then joined the faction turning on his partner Pete Dunne in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Classic in 2018. Since the group formed, they have been the best part of NXT every single week. They are also very decorated with Cole being the first ever North American Championship, and two NXT Tag Team Championships within the group. As a faction, you have four of the best wrestlers in the world, and as I said with The New Day, their chemistry is unmatched. Whether it is a match, a promo, or a backstage segment, the Undisputed Era steal the show every time they are on camera. Adam Cole is the leader of the group and he plays that role perfectly, he sometimes get's lumped in with the rest of the group and people often forget he is genuinely one of the best in the world. I believe Cole is the next NXT Champion, and the faction will make a huge mark on either Raw or SmackDown when they finally get the call-up.
