Pro Wrestler of the Month: Jon Moxley has the wrestling world buzzing after AEW debut

Read Time:1 Minute, 28 Second

While there has been stuff to enjoy, let’s be honest, WWE has not produced the best content lately, other than NXT and Brock dancing with the briefcase. So as May started to come to an end, it was difficult trying to think of a viable pro wrestler of the month. Then Double or Nothing happened and my answer was clear.

In case you live under a rock, after the main event between Kenny Omega and Chis Jericho, Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose) attacked both men to close the show. The segment was white hot and Moxley was the best part of it, with an intensity that his WWE character lacked.

When I look at wrestlers every month for this column, one  things I factor is buzz throughout the wrestling community. When you look at the month of May, no other wrestler created more buzz than Moxley, especially with the promo he shared on Twitter. Although I think many of us expected to see Moxley at Double or Nothing, him staring down Kenny Omega was a sight to see. It remains to be seen if Moxley does anything more outside of the WWE, but regardless of how his AEW career goes, there was no way anybody else was getting Pro Wrestler of the Month.

With the rise of All Elite, I expect to be featuring many from their roster in this column. Competition brings out the best in everybody and All Elite Wrestling definitely fired the first shot with Jon Freaking Moxley!
