NXT Call-Ups After WrestleMania

7 Potential WWE NXT Call-Ups After WrestleMania 41

Read Time:5 Minute, 34 Second

WrestleMania season isn’t just about the spectacle—it’s a turning point for WWE’s booking and rising stars. Every year, the post-WrestleMania Raw and SmackDown serve as a proving ground for NXT’s top talent making the jump to the main roster. These debuts bring fresh matchups, new rivalries, and potential future megastars.

With WrestleMania 41 right around the corner, anticipation is growing for which NXT standouts will get the call. From dominant champions to rising fan favorites, these six superstars should be primed to make an impact on the main roster and change the landscape of WWE in the months ahead.

Some will be (and are) instant sensations, skyrocketing into major storylines, while others may take time to find their footing. Whether they’re gunning for championship gold or looking to prove themselves against the biggest names on the main roster, these call-ups represent the future of the business:

No. 7 – Oba Femi

We might be jumping the gun here considering how fresh and fun Oba Femi is as the reigning NXT Champion. But, the prospect of him moving onto the main roster is enticing.

Pundits and industry professionals have been calling Femi a future star for close to two years now. The man has it all; size, athleticism, charisma and an absurd work rate to boot. Every match he’s involved in feels like a car crash in all the best ways… Unbridled chaos combined with ridiculous feats of athleticism we don’t often see.

Femi is currently in the midst of the greatest run of his career. He is coming off defeating TNA veteran Moose in another instant classic to defend his newly won NXT Championship. His time on the main roster might come later, rather than sooner. But, I doubt any of us would mind him getting a shot or two to show off to a larger audience in the meantime.

No. 6 – Kelani Jordan

Part of the ever-underrated NXT women’s roster, Kelani Jordan has come into her own in recent months. After several underrated performances against Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Fallon Henley and Michin we’re finally seeing a big shift in Jordan’s character work… Into something more interesting. Leaning into a heel-ish persona feels like the character shift she needed for the longest time. It gives her something to stand out with beyond her in-ring abilities.

The women’s main roster could use a different kind of heel. As WWE presses forward with their mid-card women’s titles, names like Jordan can spice up an admittedly lacking title scene. She’s proven more than capable of putting on a great match every time she’s performing. Kelani would be a valuable addition to a main roster that needs the depth right now.

No. 5 – Ricky Saints

Ricky Saints in NXT was always meant to be a temporary stop on the way to the big stage. His proven ability and star power in AEW was never in question. It just always felt like his NXT run was a litmus test to what he could achieve under a different banner. Thus far, limited though it may be, he’s living up to the hype early on.

Ricky Saints (formerly Ricky Starks) has stood in rings with CM Punk, Edge, Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and MJF… Amongst the biggest names in the industry. The name value through that list alone is enough to indicate that the man is ready for the big time and has been for far too long. Despite some hints at an NXT title pursuit, Saints’ most interesting paths forward sadly exist outside of NXT.

No. 4 – Ethan Page

NXT’s unsung hero. Since he arrived in NXT everything Ethan Page has touched has excelled expectations. His time in AEW may not have done his talents any favors. But, his NXT run feels like a statement or a point to prove on the opportunities that passed him by.

From stunningly winning the NXT Championship to numerous great defenses, Page has continued to rack up one great program after the next. He recently wrapped up a great feud with Je’von Evans, leaving little to pursue that hasn’t been done before. He could realistically pursue another championship run. But, there are multiple other, more exciting opportunities lurking on SmackDown that could seriously use Page’s character after WrestleMania.

No. 3 – Fraxiom

Fraxiom is easily my favorite tag team in wrestling today. They’ve been on an incredible hot streak, delivering standout matches and feuds that showcase just how great tag team wrestling can be. Battles with MSK, Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura, A-Town Under, and even their hard-fought loss to The Hardy Boyz have only fueled their momentum. They are one of WWE’s most talked-about duos today.

With former NXT stars like DIY and The Viking Raiders dominating the main roster tag scene, Fraxiom could bring a much-needed spark. They’d be a perfect fit for Raw’s stagnant tag division. They can deliver an energy few can match—one that could make them a breakout sensation on the main roster.

No. 2 – Roxanne Perez

With three Royal Rumble appearances and a record-setting performance this year, it’s clear Perez is being primed for a main roster call-up. So, why not after WrestleMania? She has conquered every milestone in NXT—multiple Women’s Championships, Tag Team gold, a Breakout Tournament win, and Superstar of the Year honors. Having reached the ceiling of WWE’s developmental system, she’s already proving she belongs on the main roster.

Perez has some unfinished business to wrap up with Cora Jade. But, her arrival on either Raw or SmackDown feels like a guarantee in a few weeks. Similar to Cora, Perez’s presence feels much needed in a women’s mid-card scene that feels short on name-value… Especially with a new championship present.

No. 1 – Trick Williams

Trick Williams feels like the only superstar on this list whose name is larger than the NXT brand. Dating back to his split and feud with Camelo Hayes, it was obvious that WWE saw big things in his future. His natural charisma, in-ring ability or viral entrance alone are enough to give hints that the superstar will likely evolve into one day.

William’s time in NXT has felt overdue for a change. His underwhelming feud with Ridge Holland and NXT Championship loss to Oba Femi were clear signs. A main roster move is needed before his momentum cools completely.
