‘Notorious Nick’: Cody Christian plays Nick Newell in new Hollywood film
Many of you may know him as a Bellator lightweight. Some may even remember his Contender Series debut when he fought for a UFC contract on ESPN+.
Now, Nick Newell’s story has hit movie theaters and streaming platforms around the world.
βNotorious Nickβ tells the real-life story of Nick Newell, who became a successful MMA fighter, in spite of having a congenital amputation. The “Pretty Little Liars,” “Teen Wolf” and “All American” star, Cody Christian plays Newell, who gets a rare chance to fight for the lightweight championship in the film. He strives to win for himself and all the other people in the world with physical challenges.
Born in Connecticut, Newell story starts with hiss decision to participate in wrestling, which is something that nobody thought he could do nor wanted him to do. Against all odds, he worked his ass off and eventually became a professional fighter, fighting the best guys in the world.
His story is one of a kind, and it is inspirational. Now you can watch it on your home screens.
“Notorious Nick” hit theatres this past Friday. It’ll also be available on demand and streaming on most platforms.
