Jose Martinez appeals LFA 97 result with Kansas State Athletic Commission
Jose Martinez and his management team TKO Combat Sports & Entertainment have officially announced they have contested the result of his LFA 97 bout. In the first card of 2021, Martinez loss a unanimous decision to Jacob Rosales in the co-main event.
In round two, Martinez took a knee to the face while grounded. It was a strike that the referee did not take note of and because of this, it “changed the entire complexity of the fight,” said Martinez’s management via Facebook.
It’s not often we see these appeals get overturned, however, only time will tell given the circumstances. Make sure you check back on The Scrap for updates regarding the appeal.
