Is MJF headed to WWE?
One of the biggest stories in wrestling right now is regarding MJF’s future. The possibility of MJF heading to WWE has taken some steam after the latest reports. Will it actually happen? That’s the billion-dollar question…
AEW has the advantage regarding time for the renewal of MJF’s contract (for now). Meanwhile, WWE has the advantage regarding money, as they can offer him more than AEW can. But this could change when AEW gets their TV contract renewed.
The Bidding War Has Begun
As mentioned before, WWE has the advantage regarding money. But working for the company was a childhood dream for MJF. It’s no secret that all wrestlers have that childhood dream of working in the WWE and one day wrestling at WrestleMania. MJF is no exception…
Scratching the WWE itch while gaining a lot of money is a hard deal to pass up. But is WWE the right fit for MJF? One of the best things about AEW is the freedom they give their wrestlers regarding promos, and MJF has been of the best in this department. WWE likes to script everything, except for a few guys.
While scripted promos would hurt MJF a bit, the real hit would be regarding his out-of-ring stuff. MJF protects kayfabe and can be a real a**hole to fans. That’s part of his charm. In WWE, that type of shenanigans would not be allowed.
AEW losing one of their young pillars would be a major hit to the promotion owned by Tony Khan. Though AEW still has time to renew his contract, the latest report suggest MJF favors leaving AEW for WWE. Money has been the main issue here, but AEW has chance depending of their next TV contract. At the end of the day, it all comes down to MJF wanting to stay in AEW for the long run.
