Guide to the Prelims: UFC 255
Guide to the Prelims returns for UFC 255: Figueiredo vs. Perez. UFC APEX will be the host of UFC 255 on Saturday 11.21.2020. The early prelims start at 6:30 PM ET on ESPN2, the prelims continuing on ESPN2 at 8:00 PM ET, with the main card is set for 10:00 PM ET available on PPV. Here is a list of some free fights that should keep viewers entertained.
The GUIDE TO THE PRELIMS
Brandon Moreno #2 vs. Brandon Royval #6 (flyweight)
Moreno had a rough start to his UFC career. Consequently, he was out of the UFC for most of 2019. Afterward, he returned at the end of 2019 and has made a strong impression since his return. Since then, Moreno has won 2 fights in a row by unanimous decision against some of the divisions best. Royval made his UFC debut back in May, and since then has burst onto the scene. In his first 2 fights, Royval submitted his opponenets and found himself in the top 10. With 2 of the division’s fastest risers set to face off, one will emerge a title contender.
Kyle Daukaus vs. Dustin Stoltzfus (middleweight)
This is a battle between 2 veterans of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS). Daukaus did not actually win a contract on the show, but after 2 wins on the regional scene he stepped up to fight Brendan Allen after his opponent withdrew. Daukaus gave Allen everything he could handle in that fight, but did not win the fight. This was his first loss as a professional, however, Daukaus showed great improvements and displayed that he deserves to be in the UFC. Stoltzfus is an incredibly well rounded fighter who did earn a contract on DWCS. Don’t watch the highlight if you have a weak stomach, as he won with a takedown that injured his opponents arm.
Louis Cosce vs. Sasha Palatnikov (welterweight)
Cosce won a contract on DWCS, with a ferocious blitz that felt like even if his strikes missed they could KO his opponent. In his professional career, he has yet to see the second round, with 3 fights ending in under 20 seconds. Palatnikov is also making his UFC debut, and is mostly unknown to fans. With Cosce sure to be a big betting favorite, Palatnikov will look to steal the hype train and put some momentum behind his name.
