Fury Fighting Championship returns on February 7 as the promotion heads to Dallas, Texas, for Fury FC 101. The card is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Mexico’s Guillermo Torres and Georgian striker, Otari Tanzilovi. The co-main event features a lightweight battle between undefeated rising prospect Umronjon Mansurov and Fury FC veteran Pena Allamov.

Check out the main card predictions for Fury FC 101:

Bantamweight Championship

Guillermo Torres vs. Otari Tanzilovi

The Bantamweight championship is up for grabs between 38-year-old Guillermo Torres (7-1-0) and 26-year-old Otari Tanzilovi (9-1-0). Tanzilovi hopes to get back in the win column. He lost a split decision to undefeated Josias Musasa. This happened on Season 8 of Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2024. Torres was a featured contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 32. He went 0-2, losing both fights via unanimous decision.

The fight will open with both men trying to get comfortable on their feet. Torres will display a high-and-tight guard. He will threaten to lead low kicks. He will patiently set up explosive flurries of punches into the pocket. Tanzilovi will bounce around more and mix up the levels of his kicks, attacking Torres’s legs and body. The young Georgian fighter will use his speed advantage. He will also use his size to land powerful strikes on the smaller and older Torres. Tanzilovi can effortlessly switch stances, so expect to see the striker implement this. If Torres struggles with Tanzilovi on the feet, he will shoot a takedown against the cage. The Georgian can nullify these grappling attempts and may even reverse a takedown. Keeping the fight standing, Tanzilovi will eventually land a clean strike on Torres. He will then look to finish the fight with ground-and-pound punches.

Prediction: Otari Tanzilovi via 2nd-Round KO/TKO

Umronjon Mansurov vs. Pena Allamov

Undefeated both as an amateur and professional, Umronjon Mansurov (2-0-0) looks to continue his rise to the UFC. Pena Allamov (5-3-0) wants to recover from his unanimous decision loss to Jake Heffernan at Fury FC 97 in October 2024.

Mansurov holds a clear grappling advantage in this matchup. He will prioritize this strength in his approach. The Tajikistan fighter possesses a variety of sharp kicks and a well-rounded offensive game. Allamov will try to take the center of the cage early, attempting to chop the body and legs of Mansurov. These kicks can lead to the demise of Allamov if Mansurov catches one and engages in grappling. Mansurov provides legitimate finishing potential with his submission ability. Overall, Mansurov holds advantages in striking and grappling in this fight against Allamov. The young fighter can mix takedowns and efficient striking to puzzle and outwork Allamov to a decision.

Prediction: Umronjon Mansurov via Decision

Cody Freeman vs. Shane Torres

This featherweight bout features 29-year-old Cody Freeman (7-6-0) and 32-year-old Shane Torres (6-5-0) throwing down over three rounds. Freeman sits at 0-3 in his Fury FC tenure, and hopes to enter the win column on Friday. Torres returns to Fury FC and holds a 2-3 record in his last five appearances. He hopes to build a win streak after his recent unanimous decision victory over Ignacio Ortiz in October 2024.

This is truly a toss-up fight between similar fighters. Both Freeman and Torres have similar professional records and results against familiar opposition. That said, the two featherweights will come out and try and exchange strikes on the feet. Occasionally, the two will engage in the clinch against the cage. Both fighters will try to get an advantageous offensive position. Overall, expect a back-and-forth fight that consists of most, if not all, facets of mixed martial arts.

Prediction: Shane Torres via Decision
