Fantasy Booking A Worlds Collide: NXT vs. TNA Card

Once competitors, now partners. WWE & TNA Wrestling recently announced a multi-year partnership. NXT stars will appear on TNA programming, and TNA stars will be available to appear on NXT regularly, moving forward. Both rosters are loaded with talent and could make for some interesting storylines.

With the working relationship made official, let’s have some fun and fantasy book a potential NXT vs. TNA theme for Worlds Collide 2025:

TNA World Championship

Joe Hendry (C) vs. John Cena

Joe Hendry recently won the TNA World Championship and dropped Cena’s name as a possible challenger. Cena has announced he will retire from in-ring matches at the end of this year. Cena added gas to rumor mill fire when he shared the WWE and TNA logos on Instagram. Hendry speaking to Busted Open Radio invited Cena to cross the line and try to become a 17x World Champion by capturing the TNA title. Hendry vs. Cena is a money main event.

NXT & X-Division Championship

Oba Femi (C-NXT) vs. Moose (C-TNA)

Champion vs. Champion matches are always good when both titles are on the line. These two former football players have transitioned to pro wrestling and are major powerhouses. Moose, the current TNA X-Division Champion and former TNA World Champion, has been a top talent in the promotion for years. Oba Femi burst on the scene by first winning the NXT North American Championship. Recently, he defeated Trick Williams for the NXT Championship. This hard-hitting match would be must see and having it be winner-takes-all makes it more intriguing.

TNA Knockouts Championship

Roxanne Perez vs. Masha Slamovich (C)

The former NXT Women’s Champion should be looking to have gold around her waist again. Why not have her face the current TNA Knockout’s Champion, Masha Slamovich? The women are similar in size, and both know how to tell a story during their matches. Roxanne Perez, who has done her best work as a heel, would be the perfect opponent for the fan friendly, Slamovich. This match could steal the night.

AJ Francis & Ashante “Thee” Adonis w/ B-Fab (Hit Row) vs. The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers w/ Alisha Edwards)

Every PPV needs a fun match, and this fits the bill. Francis and Adonis agree to reunite for one night and issue an open challenge. The System walks out and mocks the reunion. Alisha Edwards interferes and B-Fab comes out to even the numbers. The match doesn’t need a lot of time to get over. After the match, Hit Row performs to the crowd’s delight. Francis then clotheslines Adonis out of nowhere and says “one night only.”

Josh Alexander vs. Ethan Page

The former tag partners had a successful run as The North. They had a lengthy reign as the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions. Page left for AEW but is now a major player on the NXT roster. Alexander would become the IMPACT world champion. The “Walking Weapon” has expressed interest in a possible match with “All Ego.” Both guys have been successful as singles’ competitors and this match could highlight both guy’s technical abilities. Maybe this could lead to a reunion of one of the most dominant tag teams of this era.

Additional Matches:

  • Fraxiom (C-NXT) vs. The Hardyz (C-TNA)
  • Heritage Cup: Mike Santana vs. Lexis King (C-NXT)
  • North American Championship: Tony D’Angelo (C-NXT) vs. Jake Something
  • Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson)
  • Ace Austin vs. Je’Von Evans

WWE & TNA Wrestling are officially in business. Both companies have went through changes in branding, marketing, and management over the years. But there would be no better way to put the merger in the forefront of the wrestling world by announcing their long anticipated and often fantasized joint PLE.
