EXCLUSIVE: TUF 31 lightweight alternate revealed, Conor McGregor already pulling strings
The Ultimate Fighter has officially begun filming in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We recently revealed nine lightweights who were flown out for the show. Michigan’s Kenny Cross was one of those… Originally slated to make the final lightweight cast, “The Boss” was removed a day prior to filming. Conor McGregor apparently requested that a teammate of his be added to cast last minute.
Due to the change, Cross was officially made the 155lb alternate this season. He will remain in Vegas for the next few days while the teams are set and first-round matchups take place. Unfortunately for the future lightweight star, he’ll have to wait a bit longer before getting his much deserved call-up. But it looks like Cross wasn’t the only one slighted…

With the TUF 31 roster leaking on social media, MMA Manager, Daniel Rubenstein of Ruby Sports clarified that Mitch Ramirez & Brandon Jenkins were also removed from the show for additional members of McGregor’s team to take part.
Filming has just begun, and it looks like so have the dramatics. Does the UFC needs to bring back the days where fighters had to fight for a spot in the house?
