Edson Barboza vs. Justin Gaethje targeted for UFC Philadelphia

Read Time:45 Second

A potential lightweight bout between Gaethje and Barboza is in the works for UFC on ESPN 2.

Farah Hannoun and multiple outlets reported the matchup. The fight is still under discussion and not a done deal. If the pairing is finalized, Gaethje and Barboza would square off at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on March 30.

Barboza is coming off an impressive performance, knocking out Dan Hooker in round 3 at UFC on FOX 31 in December. His opponent, Gaethje, has gone 2-2 in UFC competition since his undefeated debut. He is coming off a first-round knockout win over James Vick at UFC Fight Night 135 back in August.

This event marks the organization’s first time back in Philadelphia since 2011.
