Drew McIntyre is destined to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase
On Raw and SmackDown this week, the participants were revealed for this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder matches.
The participants in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match are Andrade, Ricochet, Ali, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, and Baron Corbin. This is quite the line up and honestly anybody could win it, which is when these matches are best.
MITB Prediction
Now looking at the participants, Finn is a champion so I don’t think he’s winning, and I don’t think Orton, Corbin or Braun are winning. I think the most likely winners here are Andrade and Drew, but Ricochet also has potential. I do think Ricochet is just in this match for the spots though, which is unfortunate. I don’t see any other reason for him winning. Andrade while he is a fantastic wrestler and getting very good on the mic, he has been a mid-carder at best and has never really sniffed the main event scene. While I would love to see Zelina walking around carrying the briefcase for him, I don’t see it happening. Drew on the other hand has floated around the Universal Title scene for months and has always been involved in the main event feud (with The Shield).
Drew seems to be everything that WWE wants in a champion and while I don’t think he needs the case to win it, he would do well with it. Not to mention Seth and Drew could have a barn burner of a feud over the championship if done right. With Roman on SmackDown and Dean gone, this would truly be a Seth Rollins feud.
Overall, this is one of the most stacked Money in the Bank ladder matches in recent years. There’s a good mix of big guys like Drew, Braun, Baron, and smaller guys like Finn, Ali, and Ricochet. I am predicting Drew but this one is hard to predict.
