Davis returns at Cage Wars 40 to defend his welterweight belt

Read Time:49 Second

Jake Davis returns to defend his welterweight strap against Randy Lamb inside the River Casino & Resort Event Center on February 9.

In September, the champ was scheduled to defend his belt against Isaiah Sackey-El at Cage Wars 38, however, he missed weight and the matchup was moved to the co-main event. Due to Davis accepting the fight at catchweight after Sackey El weighed in 6-pounds over, the belt was off the line. The night ended with Sackey-El’s hand raised, stopping the fight in the third round.

Davis comes into his next title defense after his first MMA loss. He will face a Cage Wars veteran in Lamb, who looks to hear the words, “And New,” when the two meet early next year.

Both men are predicting early finishes at the Night of Champions.
