Cody Stamann out, John Lineker in against Rob Font at UFC Greenville

Due to an undisclosed injury, Cody Stamann (18-2 MMA) is out of his bout in South Carolina.

UFC confirmed earlier today, two bantamweight prospects will run it back in Greenville. A rematch between John Lineker (31-9 MMA) and Rob Font (16-4 MMA) is set for the co-main event after Stamann was forced to pull out due to an undisclosed injury.

Lineker is coming off a loss to rising bantamweight star, Cory Sandhagen in April at UFC Ft. Lauderdale. He looks to get back to his winning ways when he touches down in Greenville later this month. Prior to the loss, Lineker was on a win streak after dominant performances against Brian Kelleher and Marlon Vera.

His opponent, Font, welcomed Sergio Pettis to the division at UFC Milwaukee in December. The New England prospect is ready to continue his winning ways on his championship run. With notable wins over Thomas Almeida and Matt Schnell, he looks to avenge his loss to the Brazilian come fight night.

UFC Greenville will take place inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena on June 22. The card is headlined by top featherweights Renato Moicano and Chan Sung Jung on ESPN+.
