Cody Brundage hopes second title win leads to Contender Series

After a dominant unanimous decision win over Erick Lozano to capture the Lights Out middleweight title in December, Cody Brundage prepares to face his recent foe once again for another title this Saturday.

Brundage will face Lozano for the promotion’s 195-pound title in the co-main event of Lights Out Championship 7. The event takes place at the Deltaplex Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. and will air on FITE TV.

The 25-year-old Brundage joined The Scrap to discussΒ the fight coming together quickly after Melvin Guillard had to withdraw, his initial reaction to the fight and why it still gets him excited after a dominant win in their first encounter, the fans giving him a hard time for his performance, how he expects the same thing to happen on Saturday night, eyeing a Contender Series spot in 2020, and more.
