A pair of young promotional newcomers are scheduled to meet at LFA 156.

Jonathan Kunneman will make his highly anticipated LFA debut when the promotion returns to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on April 14th. He is set to take on Nautis Shadrick in a middleweight bout. News of the fight comes a day after Kunneman’s mentor Jon Jones solidified his GOAT status at UFC 285. It was later confirmed by Shadrick via Facebook.

Kunneman (1-0) was last seen when he made his pro debut at Alaska FC 160 in 2021. He pulled off a beautiful second-round Americana, extending his current three-fight win streak. Since, Kunneman has struggled to find opponents willing to sign the dotted line. The 23-year-old recently moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico to train with Elevation Fight Team in Denver, Colorado.

Shadrick (2-1 AM) will make his pro debut in a new weight class. “The Dungeon Master” is known for fighting at different weights as an amateur, and will try to find a new home at 170lbs. The 20-year-old was a last seen at Pure FC 22 where he got back in the win column.

The LFA 156 main event will feature a welterweight headliner between Jalin Fuller & Trey Waters. The only other fight currently announced is Jeff Nielson vs. Rueben Johnson.

Stay tuned to both The Scrap & The Scrap Sheet as additional LFA 156 matchups are announced.
