Amanda Serrano defends Jake Paul: ‘He’s a good person’
The undercard for Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley is no doubt impressive. It includes Puerto Rico’s own Amanda Serrano taking on Yamileth Mercado.
Serrano has been training with Jake Paul as of late. She recently has taken a positive stance on Jake and has posted pictures with him. She also posted a video of the two shadowboxing in preparation of their second fight together.
Some boxing fans have taken exception to Serrano’s support of Jake, which is reflected in comments on her Instagram posts. Yesterday, Serrano responded to a comment and defended her training partner with this reply:
“I love my island and my people but I also know how the media depicts things so I don’t buy into all the negativity I read. I judge from personal experiences and from my dealing with @jakepaul he’s a good person. Plus I’m a leader not a follower. I don’t follow what others believe. Only my own beliefs are good enough.”
Jake Paul has been living in Puerto Rico with his brother Logan, which would explain the training sessions with Serrano. Serrano has spoken positively about Jake in every interview she’s done during the lead up to the August 29th Pay-Per-View.
She will serve as the co-main event for Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley as she fights Yamileth Marcado with the WBC & WBO featherweight championship on the line.
