AEW Fyter Fest Predictions
After the success of AEW’s first event: Double or Nothing, they will have their second on Saturday, Fyter Fest.
The event will be free on the B/R Live app in the United States, and on the FITE app internationally. The card look absolutely stacked and it will be interesting to see if they can meet the expectations they created with Double or Nothing.
Check out the predictions for the first-ever, AEW Fyter Fest.
Hardcore Match: Michael Nakazawa vs Alex Jebaily
The pre-show will feature wrestler Michael Nakazawa vs Alex Jebaily who from what I understand, runs the gaming company the event is partnered with. I honestly do not know why this is a match on the card because it will not touch match of the night. Jebaily is allegedly a wrestler, but the fact he’s rather unknown worries me. This will be a typical hardcore spot fest and I’m sure it’ll be fun, but it won’t be anything special.

Best Friends vs SCU vs Private Party
This is a hard one to pick because everybody could win and it would make sense, however with the stipulation involved, I think it leaves an obvious pick. So If I understood this correctly, the winner of this match gets a pass or a “buy” in the upcoming tag team tournament. Now I think the idea of a buy in during a tournament is a heel-ish move, and of course SCU are the biggest heels in the match. I said in my Double or Nothing predictions that AEW should build their tag division around SCU and this is the perfect first move.

Yuza Sakazaki vs Riho vs Nyla Rose
This one is extremely difficult to pick. Yuza and Riho made fans at Double or Nothing and have the potential to be big stars in AEW. However, I think looking back at Double or Nothing, it makes most sense for Nyla Rose to win. I haven’t heard if Awesome Kong is there long term, if not Rose should get this win. I think they want to build Nyla as the dominant powerhouse in the division, and two losses in a row would not look good for her.

Christopher Daniels vs CIMA
I’m looking at this show largely from a booking standpoint, because apparently wins and losses matter. This is a bit of a boring answer but SCU beat CIMA’s team at Double or Nothing. Combine that with the fact CIMA has a match with Kenny Omega at Fight for the Fallen, it makes most sense for CIMA to get the win here. Daniels is established enough that he does not need this win whatsoever.
CIMA def. Christopfer Daniels
Hangman Page vs Jungle Boy vs Jimmy Havoc vs MJF
This fatal four way has potential to be the best match on the card. Hangman, Jungle Boy, and MJF are highly underrated and even Jimmy Havoc often flies under people’s radars. With matches like this, I always try and do process of elimination to get to my winner. I believe they have high hopes for Jungle Boy but in a year or two, he’s still incredibly young and I think they will build him over time. He will have an incredible performance no doubt, but he won’t get the win.
Hangman Page already has a World Championship match coming up, so he doesn’t need this win because ultimately the match doesn’t matter to him in the long run. This brings me to Jimmy Havoc and MJF as the potential winners. I would love to see MJF get the win because I think he is one of the best heels in wrestling today. However, and this is a bit of fantasy booking on my part, I think he has a feud with Moxley on the horizon.

Cody vs Darby Allin
Much like I said about Jungle Boy, I believe AEW has high hopes for Darby, but he will not get a high-level win like this early-on. Darby is still highly underrated and I think he will make many fans here, but won’t get the win. Cody coming off that incredible match with Dustin and tagging with him at Fight for the Fallen. I’m certain Cody would have no issue putting over Darby, but when it comes to the long-term story, Cody should 100% win this match.
Cody def. Darby Allin
Hardcore match: Jon Moxley vs Joey Janela
I am counting down the minutes until this match because it is going to be absolutely insane. The “chains” are off of Moxley and in the couple matches he has wrestled since his release, it seems like he has more to give than we’ve seen. I don’t even know what to expect in this match because both men are absolute lunatics (pun intended). This will probably be a showcase for both, but I think Janela will come out looking like a bigger star than he was.
Janela has flown under the radar because of unfortunate injuries, but he is an incredible talent. But, arguably, the biggest star of AEW is Moxley, and as a result, he will win this match. Moxley will be going into a feud with Kenny and he needs a strong win here. This will be madness and I cannot wait!
Jon Moxley def. Joey Janela
The Elite vs The Lucha Bros & Laredo Kid
I’m torn on this match if I’m honest, The Young Bucks have been going back and forth with the Lucha Bros since Double or Nothing in AAA. However Kenny and The Bucks both have big matches lined up and if wins and losses matter, they should get the win. The Elite can totally afford this loss cause they’re The Elite, but looking ahead it makes most sense for them to win. Regardless of who should or will win though, this should be a crazy spotfest of a match.
We already know what The Bucks and The Lucha Bros can do to each other, but add in Omega and Kid and this is promised to be fireworks!
The Elite def. The Lucha Bros & Laredo Kid
