AEW Fight for the Fallen Predictions

Read Time:6 Minute, 20 Second

After the success of AEW’s Fyter Fest, the promotion makes their return with Fight for the Fallen.

The card look absolutely stacked, however, many matches lack storylines. It will be interesting to see if they can meet the expectations they continue to create with their live events.

Check out the predictions for the first-ever, AEW Fight for the Fallen.

Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc & Darby Allin vs Shawn Spears, MJF, & Sammy Guevara

Starting off with “The Buy-In” we have a big six-man tag. Now for me, this seems like an easy one to predict because I think it will come down to partners not being able to get along. Of course Shawn Spears at Fyter Fest hit Cody with a brutal chair shot, and one of the first people out to check on Cody was MJF. I don’t think MJF and Spears will be able to get along, they’ll combust and the other team will capitalize.

Bit of a boring prediction to start things off but logically, that makes the most sense, unless they throw a curveball at us which is entirely possible.

Britt Baker & Riho vs Shoko Nakajima & Bea Priestley

This is one of the harder matches on this card because there isn’t really a storyline reason why one team should win over the other. With no TV until October, it’s really tough for AEW to have storylines going into matches and this is one that has no story. However, looking at Fyter Fest, Riho won her match and as I have said before, I think they want to build the division around Britt Baker.

I will admit I am kind of grasping at straws here because of the lack of story, which makes it extremely hard. I believe they will give Britt Baker the win for her team. Result aside, I have not seen much of Shoko and Bea and I’m always excited to be introduced to wrestlers I don’t know about.

Dark Order vs Angelico & Jack Evans vs Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus

This is another weird one. Dark Order debuted at Double or Nothing attacking Best Friends, and one of the other teams in the match, Jack Evans and Angelico. From the way their debut was booked, I am assuming AEW wants them to be the dominant team of the division. That being said, I think they will get a win here to keep them looking strong. I am expecting breakout performances from the other four men in the match.

When Dark Order debuted at Double or Nothing, the crowd seemingly had no idea who they were so it will be interesting to see if that plays a role in the booking here. Regardless, if Dark Order are going to be booked as a dominant tag team in AEW, they can not lose their debut.

Dark Order def. Angelico & Jack Evans, and Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus.

Brandi Rhodes vs Allie

I am extremely excited for this match if I’m honest. I have been a fan of Allie for years and she is sort of a hidden gem in women’s wrestling because she has done her best work in Impact, which doesn’t get many eyes.

Her and Brandi are both extremely underrated wrestlers and I believe this one will surprise many people. Brandi seems to be (at least in a kayfabe sense) in charge of the women’s division, so I don’t think her getting the win here would be the best idea. They could also have a huge babyface in Allie and I think a win here would really establish her spot in the division.

It all depends on how they want to book the two, but I believe Allie should pick up the win here. Do not sleep on this match.

Allie. def. Brandi Rhodes.

Hangman Page vs Kip Sabian

AEW seems to have high hopes for Kip, as he is getting a match with one of the #1 contenders for the AEW Championship. However, that is what makes me think he will be on the losing end of this match. With Hangman’s championship match coming up soon, he will most likely pull off the win here to keep him strong. While a surprise win or dirty finish would not hurt Page, I don’t see it happening.

I think AEW really has high hopes for Kip Sabian, but I think he’s more of an investment to develop in the coming months and years, while Hangman is main event ready. I am not 100% sure Hangman wins this match if I’m honest, but thinking about booking and wins and losses meaning something, Page should win this match and look strong before that huge championship match.

Hangman Page def. Kip Sabian.

SoCal Uncensored vs The Lucha Bros

This is probably the second toughest match to predict, these are probably the top two teams in All Elite.

Lucha Bros are coming off of a loss against Young Bucks at Double or Nothing. SCU have been booked strong since AEW’s inception and has not had a big loss like Lucha Bros. SCU are the kind of team that can take a loss and not be affected at all, however I think Lucha Bros need a win after Double or Nothing. Also, Lucha Bros are big in AAA and that relationship is a huge plus for All Elite, so a  win here would benefit them going forward.

Regardless of the winner, this is going to be absolutely amazing. I am extremely excited for this and honestly I don’t care who wins.

Lucha Bros def. SCU.

Kenny Omega vs CIMA

This one seems fairly obvious, CIMA has been built up over the past couple events, but ultimately I think it was to be fed to Kenny Omega.

Kenny is currently in the young promotion’s biggest feud with former WWE Superstar, Jon Moxley. Now Moxley could interfere, but both previous events Moxley and Omega have done post-match attacks on the other, and it’s getting tiresome. I expect this to be a fantastic performance for CIMA and this is 100% his biggest match in North America. I am excited to see if he will rise to the occasion.

This seems like a match to build up Omega for Moxley down the line and while they could pull a fast one on us, Kenny Omega should win this match.

Kenny Omega def. CIMA.

The Young Bucks vs Cody & Dustin Rhodes

This should be match of the night and honestly, I can’t wait for it.

After the fantastic match Cody and Dustin had at Double or Nothing, combined with what we know the Young Bucks can do, this should be magical. I do think Cody and Dustin will pick up the win because I believe their story will continue, and obviously the Young Bucks don’t need the win. Honestly though? I don’t care who wins.

This could go either way and make complete sense, I just can’t wait to watch it. Logically, Cody and Dustin should win it after a hard fought battle and maybe continue this team. This will no doubt be a five-star-level match.

Cody & Dustin Rhodes def. The Young Bucks.
