Wednesday Night Wars: AEW Dynamite Week 15 Review
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was celebrated in Landers Center located in Southhaven, Memphis. The crowd throughout the night was electric for a good portion of what happened in the ring.
AEW during this episode made a nice and short tribute to some of the wrestling legends of the Memphis area.
This show had a lot of WWE-esque moments, especially with Brandi Rhodes in a segment that ruined a great match between Statlander and AEW Women’s Champion, Riho.
Matches & Segments
The show started hot in a tag team match between Omega & Hangman vs. Private Party. This bout was great and had a lot of tag team moves. After the match, PAC attacked Nakazawa and demanded a rubber match against Omega.
Riho defeated Statlander in a fun match, but this match had Brandi and her faction all over it. Ruined this angle. The women’s division in AEW need to improve big time and Brandi needs a new gimmick.G
Guevara defeated Christopher Daniels in an OK match. CD looked great during the match. After this bout, The Dark Order came out and tried to recruit CD to the Dark Order, but failed. This segment was weird, Evil Uno delivered an interesting promo.
The Brotherhood (Cody and Dustin Rhodes) with Arn Anderson defeated the Lucha Bros in a fun match. Dustin once again looked great in the ring. After the match, Arn Anderson made a promo about not accepting MJF’s demands from last week.
MJF came out and had another home run of a promo, we saw the surprise return of DDP to AEW and confronting MJF. Next week MJF and BBB will face Marshall, DDP and Dustin.
Jurassic Express defeated The Best Friends and Orange Cassidy in a very entertaining match. During this bout, the crowd was very into Jurassic express. Orange Cassidy was also a fan favorite.
Jon Moxley and The Inner Circle had a great ending for this episode of Dynamite. For a split second, it seems Moxley was joining the Inner Circle, but he swerved everybody once more and declared his intensions on winning the AEW Championship. He attacked Jericho with a little bit of the bubbly.
Rating
AEW needs to work on their women’s division, Brandi with her spooky Stephanie McMahon gimmick is doing no favors for anybody. Her involvement in this episode ruined the match between Riho and Statlander.
MJF, Jurassic Express, Jericho and Moxley were the MVPs of the night once more.
