Your guide to TUW 11: Vega vs. Payne
The second round of The Ultimate Writer Season 3 is officially underway. TUW 11 will feature the first-round of bracket matchups, and a few teammates going head-to-head.
If you don’t already know, The Ultimate Writer is a competition that features 16 of the best combat sports writers around the world in a competition where article views matter. Winners this season are determined weekly when highest article views go head-to-head to determine The Ultimate Writer.
This second card showcases a killer headliner with the number one Veteran, Katie Vega, taking on the creative newcomer, Leif Payne. This week will be one-week long and the winners will move on in the bracket. Losers will be up for elimination so this round is very, very important…
Underrated Matchup
This week’s underrated matchup was pretty clear — we have another battle between Pro Wrestling writers. This time it’s teammates Juan Reneo vs. Austin Luff. Both writers have been Pro Wrestling Writer of the Year and both have creative pieces that fans love to read. It’ll be interesting to see how this matchup goes down this week.
Does the man from Spain continue on in the bracket? Or does Austin get his first TUW win of the season? Tune in on Monday to find out.
Matchup of the Week
Ironically enough, our matchups of the week include two pairs of Newbies going head-to-head in hopes of being safe from elimination. Ryan Truland takes on Dylan Fritts this next round and what a matchup it has potential to be! Both are writing great pieces in their respective sports, and both have a lot to prove at The Scrap.
Our other matchup of the week is Kevin Varghese vs. Jake Foley, two Newbies we are big fans of so far. This matchup could go either way, but seems like Kevin is starting to get a hold of how the competition works; becoming a key player to watch this season. You definitely don’t want to miss this one…
Underdog to Watch
Our two underdogs to watch this week are Leif Payne and Josh Diaz. Both men have the opportunity to take out #1 seeds this season. Though it’s going to be a tough task, they definitely have what it takes to win this one and the rest of the competition. All it takes is the perfect article and the right amount of shares.
Can Josh take out this season’s top-read writer? Does Leif have what it takes to beat TUW Queen? We can’t wait to see the results for these matchups.
