Your go-to list of UFC fights scheduled for Yas Island in Abu Dhabi
Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will play host to some great matches throughout the month of July.
The island allows UFC to promote some of its international athletes who cannot travel to the United States at this time because of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Fight island matches are scheduled for July 11, 15, 18 and 25th.
UFC 251, the first of the events to take place on July 11, will feature three title bouts. Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will take on Gilbert Burns, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will defend his title against Max Holloway and Petr Yan vs. Jose Aldo will take place for the vacant bantamweight title.
The main card for UFC 251 on ESPN+ pay-per-view will also feature a rematch between Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas, and Paige VanZant will take on surging newcomer, Amanda Ribas.

Yas Island was the home to three previous UFC events: UFC 112 in 2010, a Fight Night in 2014 and UFC 242 last September. Occupying a total land area of twenty-five square kilometres, the manmade island has become the capital’s adrenaline hub. The island’s development project was initiated in 2006 by Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties. Yas Island’s Grand Prix attracts a global audience every November and many tourists visit year-round for the rides and simulations at Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, and Waterworld.
