“Pow Pow” returned after a year-long layoff to take on Adam De Freitas in Toronto this past Sunday. Zack Powell (3-0 MMA) not only showcased stellar grappling, he proved he has the stamina to hang with Canada’s best at 155lbs.

After the big win, Powell improves to 3-0, with 4-straight wins currently on his record. Currently undefeated, the young Canadian prospect has further solidified that Canadian MMA has plenty of killers on the come-up.

Prior to the layoff, Zack had two submission wins over Mattia Loi-Fonda and Brad Sullivan. Since turning pro in 2018, he has only fought undefeated fighters in Canada, making them tap before they can escape the first round.

Powell is currently the 6th ranked Pro Lightweight in Québec and the 34th in Canada. At only 23-years-old, Zack “Pow Pow” Powell could be the next big thing to come out of Canada, so keep a close eye on him.
