Amanda Serrano steps in on short notice to fight Simone Aparecida Da Silva
Seven division champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano was scheduled for a MMA fight on January 25 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.
Left frustrated by the postponement of Combates America’s planned event in Puerto Rico, Serrano (37-1-1, 27 KOs) looks to stay busy by taking a risky last-minute boxing bout on Thursday’s boxing card in Miami, Florida.
It should be Risky! At this stage of my career (Risky) is the only way to do it. I want to have to rise to the challenge. She just fought last month. I haven’t done any boxing since my last fight in September because of all the Wrestling & JiuJitsu training I was doing. Let’s Go! https://t.co/eTfdwS1meZ

She will face off against Simone Aparecida Da Silva in an eight-round bout at 132 pounds. In a recent interview with Boxing Scene, Serrano stated, “This fight is [to stay busy] for my big fight in April against the undisputed 135-pound champion Katie Taylor, but I want to make it clear that my focus right now is Da Silva, who despite having not that pretty of a record, is still a strong opponent who has faced the best and endures”.
Serrano-Da Silva will be carried by DAZN. The main event of the card features Demetrius Andrade defending the WBO Middleweight Title against Luke Keeler. In the co-main event, YouTuber Jake Paul will take on AnEsonGib.
